What To Expect

Your day trip starts with departure from London by coach for the drive just west of the city, where you’ll arrive at your first stop, Windsor Castle. The longest-occupied palace in the world, Windsor Castle has been home to the British royal family for nearly 1,000 years. Head inside with your guide to tour the lavish State Apartments and see St George’s Chapel. As you explore, learn about the history and design of the castle from your guide.

Then return to your coach and head to Stonehenge, admiring the rolling Wiltshire countryside along the way. When you arrive at the site, located on a plain near Salisbury, wander around the formation of ancient stones, thinking about what they could possibly mean, and check out the visitor center for more insight into the spiritual significance and possible origins of the site. Thought to date back 5,000 years, Stonehenge is a mystery that may never be solved.

Next, continue to your last stop of the day, the Georgian town of Bath. With your guide, take a panoramic tour of the pretty city to admire its stately architecture and charming narrow streets. See Bath Abbey and the Pulteney Bridge, which was inspired by Florence’s Ponte Vecchio, and visit the city’s claim to fame, the Roman baths, one of Europe’s best-preserved Roman spa sites.

Your day trip then concludes with the drive back to London. You’ll have time to buy lunch (own expense) in either Windsor or Bath.

Awesome experience!!!
Johnny_C, Aug 2023
Seeing the queen’s tomb at the cathedral, seeing the Stonehenge was the highlight of our tour. Staff of the host tour were amazing!!
Response from Host, Aug 2023
Hi Johnny_C, Thank you for leaving us a 5* review! We hope to see you again soon on another one of our tours. Best wishes Evan Evans
This is not the tour if you don't like sitting all day!
Naomi_H, Jun 2023
Richard was great! A true proper tour guide but the actual tour was a disaster. This was 95% on the motorcoach and 5% at the sites. Due to disagreements between the guide and driver, we missed Bath completely because we arrived hours late. When there to stretch legs the motorcoach broke down. We ended up paying the 88 pounds for a ticket on the train back to London with half the people on the tour with us. I think there are better options available to see these sites.

Be prepared for a very very busy day!!
Jenny_R, May 2023
Note: We toured with Evan Evans Tours via Viator. Richard was our tour guide. This was a very rushed tour, but in order to get in three places in one day there must be time constraints at locales. You must be at the bus on time, as others have said or they WILL leave you behind. No joke- it happened on our tour. This includes each stop along the way. We enjoyed beautiful weather thankfully. Be prepared to have used the restroom before boarding at Victoria coach station because it will be 10:45 or so until you will be allowed to use restroom inside Windsor castle. There was a very long line to gain entry into Windsor castle, slowed by required security checks. We received good instructions to go directly to chapel and then were able to catch some of the changing of the guard ceremony. We made sure to depart that ceremony area before we were blocked off by the departing procession. That was key. We the went to the State Apartments next and although we had our audioguides, you do not have time to listen to very much. We had to be on the bus promptly at 11:50 for departure so please know that you will literally be rushing through the chapel and apartments. By the time you stop by the restroom in preparation for Stonehenge (90 minute drive) there is no time to spare. We brought sandwiches and drinks with us to eat on our way tonStonehenge. Not hot food or drink allowed on coaches. Stonehenge was great, but as other reviewers have noted- it would be so much better to shave time off this stop to allow more time at Windsor. Stonehenge was surrounded by bucolic pastures with hayfields and grazing sheep. I was pleasantly surprised after reading that it was a pure tourist trap. Bath was really unique with the Georgian architecture. Our tour guide shared a few sites that were used for filming of Bridgerton. We elected to tour the baths and then have pizza right by the drop off point. Pizza was amazing. We skipped the chapel and enjoyed our meal and walking around the town very briefly. Despite the guide being very knowledgeable, the most annoying thing about the tour was how repetitive the guide was especially on the return trip to London. He said he would not talk too much and allow us to rest but he rambled on over and over about what a great job he and the driver had done that day. I mean not just a little bit narcissistic- but very much. And he continued on to push for gratuity after pushing us over the edge at this point. He was annoying as $hit to be honest. Who knows, but in summary: this is the best way to see 3 very cool places in one singke day. We didn’t expect perfection and would do it all again!

Hi Jenny_R, Thank you for your review, we appreciate your time to write to us. We understand your frustration with the timings on your tour, we often describe this as a 'taster' tour due to the areas covered. It does leave you wanting more, we have other tours that have more time at each destination such as Stonehenge & Bath and Royal afternoon Windsor. If you would like more information about these we will be more than happy to give it to you. We are disappointed to hear your comments about Richard, he has been with the company for many years and it's unlike him as we've not had a complaint for him before. We will address this with him. We are sorry to hear you didn't have a great experience and we hope we can be given a second chance. All the best Evan Evans
Excellent experience

Fantastic tour
Lingzi_H, Dec 2022
Our tour guide Richard was great! He is very knowledgeable and humorous. The tour was fantastic. I enjoyed all the three places we went to (Windsor castle, Stonehenge, Bath). My only suggestion is that, the tour start time could be earlier so that we can make the best of the precious winter daylight.
Response from Host, Dec 2022
Hello Lingzi_H, Thank you for your feedback. We are very happy that you took the time to leave us this wonderful note. We do our best to keep our customers happy and we are glad that our hard work has paid off! We look forward to seeing you again in the future. Best wishes Evan Evans Team

Windsor, Stonehenge and Bath.
Neal_C, Oct 2022
Originally only planned to see Stonehenge, changed to this trip and glad we did. Limited time at some spots, but that’s how it is when you do 3 in a day. Made the best of it. Richard (guide) very helpful and informative. Alex (driver) awesome too.
Response from Host, Oct 2022
Hello Neal, Thank you for leaving us a fantastic 5* review! We continuously work to create good experiences for our customers, and we are thrilled to see we were able to offer you a memorable day! We hope you come visit us again soon! Best wishes Evan Evans Team
Great tour
Marla_F, Oct 2022
It was a long day, but we knew that ahead. Richards narration was fantastic, very clear and full. I would highly recommend this tour. Only challenge is he spent to much time telling us to be on time, telling us how many people he left behind and that he will leave us behind if necessary, how much work he and the company put into making this tour and how much tip he deserves. Say it once, but it was almost the whole trip home.
Response from Host, Oct 2022
Dear Marla_F, We would like to thank you for your kind words and for sharing it with the rest of the community. Our team works very hard to provide the best service and it makes us very happy that it reflected during your visit to our establishment. And we will pass on the comment to Richard for future reference. We hope you come visit us again soon! Best wishes Evan Evans Team

Windsor, Stonehenge, & Bath
Steven_G, Sep 2022
Leila was an excellent guide with deep knowledge of the history, archetecture, art and habits of the locations. She was a fountain of information! It was a long day but it moved along smoothly. We weren’t able to enter Windsor due to the death of the queen but we saw and learned a lot about the city and Elton. The one negative was there was no pub lunch or specific lunch break or a pub meal. All in all a great day regardless!
Response from Host, Sep 2022
Hello Steven_G, Thank you so much for this 5-star review. We really appreciate you being a customer and helping to share the word about us. We hope to see you again on another one of our tours! Best wishes Evan Evans Team
A worthwhile tour to do....
John_T, Aug 2022
A worthwhile tour to do. The three points of interests kept us busy all day. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone that doesn't mind a long but rewarding day.

Too much to see in one day, especially...
Cyntia D, Aug 2016
Too much to see in one day, especially for Windsor castle...only 45 min on site, too short. Bath and Stonehenge was perfect. It was too much to see, but I'm happy to have been able to get a quick look at these three attractions since Windsor castle wasn't part of my planning at first.
Bonita experiencia pero todo muy de prisa…
Raquel_R, Jul 2022
Response from Host, Jul 2022
Dear Raquel, Thank you for leaving us feedback. Seeing that you had a 5-Star experience is the best thing we could hope. While we do agree that we would like to give more time to our guests at each location, it is difficult due to the driving hour legislation, however we do have other tours that cover only two venues in a day which allow more time to explore, please visit our website for more information. Best wishes Evan Evans Team
Très belle journée: visite du Château...
Monique_J, Sep 2017
