All reviews we read were so e voting and true ! We got Issa - and she sounded like a robot - it was unbearable and the first tour we quit 40 minutes in on a three week tour in Spain- she said she is in Spain doing “circus” training. That might be a better fix for her.

Daniel did a great job, spoke excellent English, and spoke loudly enough for the whole group to hear easily. The tour covered a bit on the inquisition as well as other general information about places and statues in Madrid.

Our tour guide was delightful! She was a masterful storyteller. We had 2 teens who were very enthralled listening to and seeing the buildings associated with the macabre history of the Spanish inquisition . Lots of walking up inclines. Not for people with bad feet or knees.

I travel alot (50 countries) and I do alot of tours when I do to get a sense of the place and people. This tour is top 5, maybe even top 3! We had Daniel as our "spirit guide" and he was the best!!! I did the tour with my cousin and we were joined by an American guy. The four of us (including Daniel) had so much fun on this tour and I laughed so hard so many times I was crying. Daniel came in his costume and met us promptly which added to the mood of the tour. We learnt alot about the inquisition as well as alot about local legends (demon baby, Don Juan who got some from a ghost) and then we also got a giggle with the story about the Airbnb banner man. It was serendipitous (well for me) that our group was small (3 plus Daniel) and that the American who joined gelled so well with my cousin and I that it felt like we had all known each other for so long and laughed up a storm. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough (ask for Daniel)

Daniel was incredible! He must be a professional actor because he really assumed the role and told us some fabulous stories. He made it all come to life and was very funny too. He interacted with the group well and kept us all engaged. Highly recommend!

Domenica, our guide, was amazing at mixing fun with facts, making the tour truly immersive and engaging. It was packed with captivating info. So, if you're thinking about taking this tour, I say stop thinking and just do it. You won't regret it.

Not a ghost walk

Not actually a ghost walk… The walk was all in relation to the Spanish Inquistion and nothing to do with ghosts at all. An evening of folklore and tall tales but nothing was actually historically factual. For example, we were told Carlos II was poisoned by his aunt who then became Queen which is completely incorrect. Interesting none the less but not what we expected and once we looked up the information we were told it was rather far fetched.

We loved getting to see the city and enjoyed the whimsical stories. However, the guide added her own personal political perspective on some of the stories. I googled one of her accounts and found it completely factually wrong. I don’t expect personal agendas on a ghost tour.

A performance not a tour

I am hesitant to write a negative review and this is in know way a reflection on the Woman who gave the performance on this tour.but that is precisely what this tour is.Totally scripted from beginning to end.Did I learn much about the inquisition?No.Did I enjoy the performance?Not really. Left the tour early as I found it a waste of time.Tour group was too large.. Sorry but feel I have to let fellow travellers know about this.
