What To Expect
After morning pickup from your Marrakech hotel or riad, settle inside an air-conditioned vehicle and travel to the traditional house where your class will be held.
On arrival, meet your professional local chef and talk through the cooking options for your lesson. Choose to prepare a tagine, couscous dish, or exotic Moroccan salad, or to bake harcha flatbreads or pastries, all with step-by-step instruction.
Once you’ve chosen, visit a nearby souk and explore the stalls selling all manner of fresh produce and foods. Soak in the aromas and colors, peruse the wares, and with help from your guide, pick out the best ingredients for your dish.
Head back to the house and settle into the well-equipped kitchen. Then, learn about the ingredients and prepping techniques from your chef, picking up insider tips and secrets.
Once you're ready, set to work on your creations, getting hands-on guidance as you go.
Finally, sit back and enjoy your home-cooked lunch while you chat to your new-found local friends. Drinks are available (own expense) to accompany your food.
Your experience then finishes with drop-off back at your accommodation.

This class was excellent. Karima was knowledgeable, organized and guided six of us to an unbelievable meal. She even adjusted the menu based on the needs of two of our participants, adding a couple of different dishes to the chicken tagine that was planned. The other two couples were from two different cities in Australia and by the end of the class, we became fast friends.
If you have an opportunity to take a class from her, by all means, do so.
