The Maui Afternoon Tour is ideal for those that seek a less congested snorkeling experience. We snorkel & slide at the Coral Gardens or Turtle Town on most afternoons. On rare occasions, we will snorkel only (no water sliding) at the Molokini Crater. You'll have the opportunity to experience many tropical fish and sea turtles, that lie within a naturally protected ocean bay. On this tour, you will head out on the Lani Kai II, a 53-foot boat (16 meters) with a 20-foot waterslide (6 meters) for several hours of snorkeling. Get the chance to see whales from November through April.

What a spectacular experience. The staff was excellent and so attentive to all our needs. We have a toddler that was hesitant to get in the water, they had a perfect solution by providing a boogie board with a window to look under water. Then we had the opportunity to do some whale watching on our way back to the harbor. We couldn't have asked for a more amazing experience.

Wind, waves and clear water

Very strong winds on the day which made the ride out and back in bumpy and fun. We had the crater to ourselves as we were the only boat to brave the waves. Captain Spence and his crew were awesome. We saw a stingray which we were told is rare. The sandwich and pasta salad were delicious. We really enjoyed the whole experience.

The crew was awesome. Fun, easygoing, helpful, and made us feel safe. The snorkeling was so beautiful and the slide, which only took Captain Greg 22 minutes to blow up :), was my son’s favorite part. That and jumping off the side of the boat. Ironically, we saw more whales on the way to snorkel at Molokini than we did on are whale watching trip with another charter the next day. Good group to book with. Dani is awesome as were the rest of the crew.

We had an amazing time with Captain Spence and his crew! The crew was very attentive and helpful with Jamie going above and beyond for us on a couple of occasions. We are so thankful we booked this trip, and even though it was super windy, because of the direction of the wind, we were still able to make it to the Molokini Crater, and we were the only boat there. The water was UNBELIEVABLY clear, and we saw so many cool fish. The slide was a highlight for our family, it was so much fun for the kids (and adults too)! Thanks again to Captain Spencer and his awesome crew 😊

This Captain and crew were tops! Despite a crazy weather day, they made sure we had fun and stayed safe. I highly recommend this trip— we saw whales and had a great time snorkeling. Lunch was good and energy on the boat was great! Sydney was also super kind!

Don’t go in this trip without verification of crater happening

Didn’t go to Molokini crater. Were not able to use the slide due to wind. The trip should not have happened since it was too windy. The captain said it was fine then after 45 minutes on super choppy water said we couldn’t go to crater. So we went off the shore of Wailea which I could have done from my hotel.

The whole crew was fabulous. Captain Greg was awesome and very friendly. Emily made sure we understood the process of snorkeling. Her lesson was clear and easy to understand for a 1st timer like me. Unfortunately, the snorkeling wasn’t as good as it could’ve been due to the high winds , but our captain was very entertaining, and was pointing out many of the whales that were surfacing in the area which really added to the trip

Spencer and the all lady crew were awesome! Everyone gave valuable insight and even encouragement for my 5 year old who was quite timid to snorkel. Unfortunately, my daughter didn’t get into the water but they ensured she was involved by letting her feed the fish. Captain Spence made valiant efforts to seek out whale sightings which made the boat ride a great experience. The chocolate chip cookie upon arrival at the harbor was a nice touch at the end of our experience 😊

This was a great snorkel trip! The crew was knowledgeable and fun. The slide was even better than we expected. We’ve done several snorkel trip on larger boats and we really liked this smaller group size. Lunch was also yummy!

Incredible trip. Really fun. Saw many whales breaching on way there and back. Molokini was empty (we were the only boat) on a Monday afternoon trip. Spencer and his crew were helpful and pleasant to deal with. They had everyone outfitted quickly and gave a thorough overview of snorkeling for the first timers. The slide was a lot of fun for the kids when they took a break from the snorkeling. Adults enjoyed it also. The only draw back was the $10 optional rental fee for the wetshirt. In my opinion that should have been included. Sandwich was a bonus on the way back.

Our guide was excellent. He gave good instructions and added humor when appropriate. The day was perfect for snorkeling and the time of year allowed us to see whales as well. The captain was awesome at pointing out the whales and turning the boat enough to view them. I definitely recommend this trip for individuals, couples and families of all ages!

We had the best time! We all loved snorkeling for the first time- the crew did a great job with a brief snorkel school for newbies. The slide was awesome! Even the ride out, seeing whales and enjoying the music and views, was so fun. Appreciated the lunch and sodas as well. The crew was really nice. We would definitely recommend this outing!
