Overview

Eat, drink, and be merry on a sunset cruise aboard a luxury catamaran. Sail the waters off Maui as you experience the ho’okipa (hospitality) of the crew and panoramic views. Beautiful night for a sunset cruise. Great cocktails! The captain & staff were super friendly. We didn’t see any whales but it was end is season for them so we knew that may be the case. We got amazing sunset pictures!

Wonderful Sunset Cruise

The crew was friendly and hospitable serving up apps and drinks. The sunset was beautiful. We even saw a humpback whale. It was a wonderful experience!

Rough ocean sunset cruise

The ocean was quite rough and at one point cups, mugs and plates went flying, luckily no one was hurt. The hot food was cold and not very appetising. Crew were lovely

The cruise was nice; however we had no idea we had to hike up to the mall and wait for an hour before our boat went out. We were told to be there early and then it took forever. Then we had to walk quit a ways to get to the boat. Once there, after checking in, having my hand stamped I was told they couldn’t find our names. Really?? We sat down and about 10 mins later the two deck folks came and just about smothered us so they could get the masts going. All the time telling us were were ok. We finally moved elsewhere. The food was sub-par, not a variety, the drinks.. not the best. If we hadn’t met up with some wonderful people I would have demanded a refund. I do NOT recommend this cocktail sail. It it not worth the money and managed very poorly.

Oh my gosh, what a great time we all had! Beautiful boat, Dan & Molly were so gracious. Informative, funny, loved seeing the whales. But most of all, loved hearing the whales on the underwater hydrophone. Food, drinks all great. Thank you for an enjoyable afternoon sunset cruise.

Despite it being an overcast evening and not being able to see the sunset we saw so many whales. The crew was very knowledgeable about the whales and did a great job narrating while chasing them around the bay. The drinks were plentiful. The appetizers were Ok. The pot stickers and ahi on toast were made up in the morning so by evening the pot stickers were tough and the toast was soggy. Make sure to bring a coat. With a stiff breeze it was cool on the water.

This sail was amazing, we saw so many whales jumping near the boat. Drinks and food were on point and the staff was excellent and knowledgeable. It was definitely one of the best things to do in Maui. Even though it's advertised as a sunset sail and not a whale seeing tour, this is the tour to go on if you want to see the whales. (and dolphins)

Getting to watch the sunset from the Ocean Spirit was an experience we’ll never forget! The staff was friendly, kind and attentive. Could not rave more about the food on board, absolutely loved everything we ate and of course enjoyed the complimentary beverages! On top of a stunning sunset, the whales were giving us a show all evening, it truly was the cherry on top. Would highly recommend booking this tour!

Great way to watch the sun set in Maui

Although it was very windy, we had a great time. The sails were up, the drinks were great and the pupus were outstanding. Everything tasted delicious. I've been on this sunset cruise before (last February) and we saw lots of whales. This time we didn't really see any although a couple of people said they saw two. The crew is very professional and will make drinks to order. You'll love this excursion on the water. Highly recommended and I'll do this again next December.

Not Educational But Fun!

We enjoyed the tour and yes, got to see some whales. We thought it was going to be more educational, that the crew would have microphones and tell us about the whales. They were more waiters, super attentive with the drinks. We weren’t complaining but wished they could have done both.

Such a relaxing sail. We had great weather and the crew was wonderful. Captain Dan's playlist was awesome. The appetizers and mai tai's were scrumptious. I love that the sail supports a wonderful nonprofit.
