Delicious food with an amazing guide!

What a fun night! Our guide Erika was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and hilarious! The food was all delicious and we loved getting to be with the locals eating and drinking and enjoying the evening. We would definitely recommend this tour and Erika to anyone visiting Medellin!

Firstly, this tour wouldn't have been half as fantastic if it wasn't for our guide Sara. She was right off the bat friendly and made us feel like old friends as soon as we stepped into the car. Highlights of the tour for us were the delicious empanadas, which we enjoyed so much we took an order back to the hotel with us. As well as our short trip to a local coffee farm for a tasting and some sumptuous barbecue. We returned to our hotel that evening contently full. Once again thank you Sara for a memorable final tour during our Medellin vacation!

The food on this tour was really delicious! The only problem was that I didn't have enough stomach room for everything, I tapped out at the last meal and left some food on the plate. And I went hungry! Our tour guide Erika was also a highlight, she was really kind and made the tour a great time.

We had the most amazing time on this tour. Sara picked us up at our hotel promptly and easily started conversation with us regarding the tour, the area we would be visiting, her experiences in Colombia and many other personal stories. The stories shared between all of us made us feel at home immediately. I can’t say enough about Sara’s warmth and kindness - one of the best guides we’ve experienced thus far on our travels. We went to the places listed in the trip details and the food and drink was great. That being said, I think what really made the tour was Sara, the people of Sabaneta and the people at the coffee farm we ended the tour at. A special shout out to Juan Pablo, a charming young man who is the son of the farm owners who was gracious and friendly with us during our visit. He even made us some of their home grown coffee which wasn’t technically part of the tour as far as I know. I would highly recommend this tour. It was more of an experience than a typical food tour. The people ( Sara and Juan Pablo in particular ) made the night for us.

My experience is in the title: “delicious authentic experience”!! It was so much better than I had hoped! I tried some local foods before the tour but was blown away by everything there was to sample & eat on the tour!! So much food!! My guide, Erika, was absolutely wonderful!! I found this tour absolutely sensational and this is without even talking about the delectable cuisines. The tour is well balanced from knowledgeable information in conjunction with AMAZING food. Fun banter and light hearted conversations felt like hitting the streets with a long lost friend. I’m sure you’ll find your personal favorites but the “Arepa De Chócolo” is divine! Ending the night in a quaint coffee house in the mountains was the perfect cherry on top. I’d recommend this tour 10/10 times and give it 15/5 stars if I could. Simply put. Absolutely amazing. You won’t honk twice about the decision once the first bite touches your tongue. Enjoy and have an extra bite for me as well!!

My Guide was Anna, a University student extremely knowledgeable about all things Medellin. She was energetic, smart, funny and made the extra effort to ensure everyone was having a great time. I had booked a private tour. The Tour Company asked if they could add seven people to my private Tour. I said sure. I was picked up at my hotel exactly on time. The expert driver navigated the heavy Saturday night traffic to a quiet residential part of town where we picked up seven young men who were visiting from the Dominican Republic. I am so glad they joined me on my "private tour". They were charming. A joy to be with. I really felt special, meeting and being with them. We went to a small town outside Medellin and joined the locals in a celebration of the Christmas Season Eve. The streets were packed who locals enjoying their family and friends. Everything was decorated with colorful Christmas lights and decorations. Latin music and the smell of traditional Colombian food filled the air as we noshed and drank our way across the town. We ended the night at a Coffee Farm in the mountains. Cool fresh air and dazzling scenery. Enjoyed time with the Farmer/Owner and the delicious food and drink prepared by his lovely wife as fireworks filled the sky over beautiful Medellin. We drove down the mountain back to the city with music playing, chatting and laughing, Amigos.
