Just awesome! Coffee, history, exploration of the farm

Fantastic tour with our extremely knowledgeable guide, Laura. Not only did we learn about the history of coffee and the process from planting new coffee trees to roasting, but a bit about the history and growth of Medellin. Picking the beans during a thunderstorm (we insisted) was awesome! Turned our coffee tour into an adventure coffee tour!

If you interested with the coffee, this program is 100% for you!! Our guide was Juan, his english was really perfect. On the farm, we tried different ways to make the coffee, thay talked about the history, and we could collect the beans also from the tree. Really good program, i reccommend it 100%

Amazing tour

Our guide Carlos was amazing! He knew so much about the coffee growing process as he was a coffee farmer himself. He took us to a small family farm right outside the city. The family that operated the farm was lovely and very passionate about coffee. We started by trying coffee prepared in different ways, then we got to pick the bean ourself and follow them through the whole processes. The tour was so wonderful and we learned so much. The coffee we got here was some of the best we’ve ever tasted! Could not recommend more!

From start to finish a very fun experience! Diego (guide) was spectacular! He was very personable and informative on our tour of the extremely cute farm. The organic coffee grown there was served to us in various forms, all delicious! Learning about the coffee growing, picking, processing, drying, roasting, and grinding was so interesting and fun! Our guide Juan Carlos was the perfect guide. We learnt a lot of the situation in Colombia besides between guided through all the different steps of coffeefarming and coffeemaking at this very welcoming small familyfarm. This was really fun and convenient. It's a family owned farm and you really get what feels like an authentic experience. It was also great to do for a half day since it's so close to the city and includes transportation. I would encourage anyone to go on this tour and gain a new respect for the amount of work that goes into that cup of coffee every morning! Five stars!

We had an awesome time on the tour - Esteban was a great guide as he not only answered all questions on coffee but also provided friendly conversation throughout the morning, making us feel very comfortable the whole time. Antonio's farm was incredible and he was extremely welcoming and personable. It was a lot of fun to explore the whole process of making coffee, from growing, to picking, to processing, to packaging. One recommendation for next time: be sure to wear long pants (and long sleeves) as there were plenty of mosquitos.

New appreciation for coffee!

This tour was interesting and gave me a new appreciation for coffee. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the coffee. We had a good (but very hot) time climbing the hill to pick coffee beans. If you are planning to buy coffee beans as gifts to take home, this is the place to do it. We bought some in Comuna 13 but this coffee tasted better and the price was very reasonable. This was a short tour so we still had the rest of the day to spend exploring when we got back at lunch time.

Wow, we are in awe from the delicious coffee and beautiful views. I’m not sure we’ll ever drink normal coffee again, this was so good. Our driver Mauricio was early and very helpful to answer our questions about the city. Our guide at the farm, Alejandra, was very knowledgeable and made the tour so fun. We experienced the full coffee harvest experience from planting a bean to making coffee four different ways. It was also so nice that this was a short trip from the city so we had a lot of the day left to explore.

Relaxing morning at a coffee farm

We had a great morning visiting this coffee farm! It’s only a 20 to 30 minute drive from the El Poblano district in Medellin, but is very tranquil and relaxing. Our guide, Carlos, was excellent and the family at the farm was very nice. We saw where every step of the coffee-making process happens from planting seeds to picking coffee to roasting and packaging. Added bonus: We saw dogs, chickens, a cat, and a cow. Don’t forget to wear some sunscreen (like I did).

Authentic and fun experience

I struggled to find an authentic coffee tour near the city, rather than traveling all the way to the coffee triangle. This tour was perfect. It was private, peaceful and very authentic. I learned a lot about the process and how the way you brew it can effect the flavor. I planted a bean, picked them from the trees and followed it all the way through its process until it is sold. I loved the whole experience.
