What To Expect

Meet your guide at your hotel in central Medellín in the morning. Hop into a comfortable private vehicle with your group of up to four people and get started on your full-day tour. Head to downtown Medellín for your first stop: see 23 sculptures by the local artist Fernando Botero on display in Botero Plaza, and walk through the historic center with your guide.

Continue past Medellín’s gracious plazas, colonial-era churches, and architectural highlights, then lunch at a Paisa restaurant; meals are not included in this tour, but your guide helps you find the perfect place to try local cuisine.

Other highlights include the Palace of Culture, the street-art covered avenues of Comuna 13, and the cable car above Arvi Park. Throughout the tour, learn about the city from an insider who can bring the city’s history and contemporary culture to life.

Kenneth, thank you for stipulating that you received an "In depth experience" from us here at Medellin Travels. I can't stress how important it is to tour with the right company who is legit. The city is plagued with illegal tour guides without a license to operate and license to drive, not to mention their English skills are less than stellar to say the least and they don't explain the sites, murals, history and Idyosyncracy of the events that unfolded there, thus guests feel cheated and hire us, Medellin Travels to re-do their tour again. Our experience from start to finish was fantastic. Jorges-Andres was incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and has an infectious passion for the city of Medellin. We felt welcomed, safe, and invigorated the entire excursion. We explored parks, buildings, tasted local street food, and rode multiple gondolas and public transit systems. Wear comfortable walking shoes and buckle up for an unforgettable time.

Only way to see everything in one day. You use every means of transportation they have getting around, car, cable car, train, outdoor escalators and walking. Best to be in a small group or private tour .
