The tour was a lot of driving from location to location and less walking around than we anticipated, but Daniel was absolutely amazing! He is extremely knowledgeable and excited to share all of his anecdotal stories. Daniels clear passion for the subject and hearing it from a local made a day full of information fun and easy to understand.

First with the positive, the tour was well organised. I accidentally booked the wrong date so I called the number and spoke to a nice guy who without any fuss changed the date for me. On getting to the meeting point the tour guide messaged me in case I couldn’t find it. However, the reason I booked this tour specifically is because I wanted to see La Cathedral, and when I asked the tour guide he told me we’re not going there because it’s closed. I really felt this should have been communicated before we booked the tour because on the “what to expect” description it is included. Other than that the tour just included Escobar’s grave and Comuna 13. There’s other Communa 13 tours which are much better, more thorough and led by people who grew up there. I was quite disappointed.

Luis was a fantastic guide! He shared information with us the entire way, constantly checked in to make sure we were doing okay, and made sure we saw everything we wanted to. We visited La Catedral, Escobar’s grave, and Comuna 13. At each stop Luis made sure we got the pictures we wanted and we never felt rushed. He also speaks excellent English and translated for us when needed. Highly recommend!!!

David, our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable about Medellín, Comuna 13 and Pablo Escobar. The places that were significant to Pablo Escobar's life were all scattered out, so I would definite ask what's most interesting to see and then spend more time in Comuna 13, which was amazing. We were supposed to meet at the Lleras park, but David was really nice to offer to pick us up at our hotel! We had chosen a small group tour, so it was very personable and catered to our interests. Thank you, David, for showing us the beauty of Medellin.

To start with,We Had A Private Tour😃😃😃Davy picked us up and made sure our half day tour was chock full of sites,history,neighborhoods,personal stories and insites into the work and thinking that has gone in to the building of Comita 13 and post Escobar. I think this overall experience was great, but I was VERY disappointed that my tour guide didn’t speak English. He was able to say words and could communicate some basic things, but he was not able to explain any history at the stops we had. He would say things in Spanish which I was not able to understand. When I booked this tour I made sure it was an English tour and for $130 I expected someone to be able to share the history and culture with me. Instead I just had a driver and I took pictures.

We spent a half day with our guide David. He was very knowledgeable of the city and the history of Pablo Escobar. David did an amazing job explaining everything, pointing out different parts of the city while we drove through neighborhoods. The stop at the catedral which is what Pablo’s jail was called will give you amazing views and walking down to the helipad was cool even though the elevation might get you out of breath on the way back up. The stop at Comuna 13 was more than expected! The art in this área is amazing not just the graffiti but the people there performing music or painting. Overall we loved this experience and completely recommend!! Upon my return to Medellín I will be doing this activity again!

This was definitely a memorable tour. Learning the “unknown” history of Pablo Escobar was very interesting. The best part of this tour was visiting Comuna 13. The community is so full of life and has some gorgeous views of Colombia. David, our tour guide, was the absolute best! Highly recommend this tour!
