Ricardo was at the meeting point early. Unfortunately for him, we were the only 2 on the tour but he was there and ready to go. Ricardo is very informative and we learned quite a bit of Mexico’s history. The tour time was just the right length. We would definitely recommend Ricardo and the tour.

Ricardo (Ric) is a great guide! We had a very enjoyable few hours at Chapultepec and the Anthropology Museum. Ric is very intuitive and tailored our visit to the areas that were of most interest to us. He is a history expert and is clearly passionate about ensuring that his guests get the most of the time with him. I highly recommend a tour with Ric as your guide!

Tour guide was not good. Could not understand half of what she was saying and from what I did understand some of what she was saying was contradicting what the posters right behind her stated!

Do not hesitate to book this tour! Ricardo did an amazing job at sharing so much rich history during the walking tour - he was very attentive to everyone and did not hesitate to answer any question that was asked. He is such a kind and knowledgeable soul.

Our guide was amazing! He was very demonstrative, helpful and had excellent knowledge of the things he showed us. Unfortunately, I don’t remember his name. The Anthropology museum will cause museum fatigue if you did it on your own. Our outstanding guide provide the highlights was a great thing. Thank you very much for everything!

This was an excellent tour.! The meet up went off without a hitch. We ended up being the only participants, so ended up getting a private tour. Both the Castle and the Anthropological museum were wonderful but would have been overwhelming if we had tried to do them ourselves. Ricardo, our guide was very knowledgeable, an made sure we saw the key exhibits. He is an excellent historian, and very personable as well….helped us with lunch plans and getting to other activities in the city.

If you love history you must go to the museums. I’m super glad I had a tour guide with me instead of going alone as most of the castle and museum was only in Spanish. On top of that our tour guide gave us a ton of information that we would have never known if we went by ourselves. Absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend if you are traveling to CDMX.

Arrived late to the tour due to traffic and my Uber driver dropping me on the opposite side of the park away from the meeting area. Embarrassing. Rick was so nice and gracious and helped me navigate my way to him. There ended up only being a couple of us on the tour, which definitely added to the experience. Rick is very knowledgeable and took his time explaining history, giving his personal thoughts about different artifacts and history, answered questions we had, and if he didn’t know an answer (only happened once) he admitted that and didn’t make something up. He gave us tips about which stalls to buy snacks and drinks from and made sure he gave us time to take pictures. All in all, great tour guide and a great tour to understand some of Mexico’s history.

Deeply Cognitive Historian Tour!!

Ricardo is extremely cognitive and more than willing to engage in deep discussions at every turn about politics, social stratification etc. The way he structures his answers said it all! We really appreciated this, as he provided such a genuinely interesting insight into EVERYTHING even for topics like Mayan civilisation and the indigenous rights/identity when he disclaimed that he’s not an expert. He still provided us with more knowledge that any other tour we’ve been to! We overran at the anthropology museum, even tho he tried to streamline to the most important parts of the museum that he knows like the back of his hand. Best tour and discussions we’ve had! I had a great time on the tour. I decided to book the tour after coming the the Anthropological Museum without a guide on my last trip to CDMX. I was looking for tour that was in depth and didn't rush through the history of both the forest and the museum. They delivered!!! Highly recommend you go on this tour. I was the only person on my tour and the tour guide was extremely considerate of my interests and needs.

10/10 would recommend this tour if your interested in understanding the history of Mexico, i.e., pre-classical, classical, post-classical, Aztec and Mayan civilisation. First and utmost, I would like to mention that Ricardo is extremely flexible, I’ve booked the wrong date and he has allowed me to change it despite Viator doesn’t allow me to. I greatly appreciate this gesture! My friend and I were extremely lucky to end up having a “private” tour as it was only 2 of us. We managed to ask Ricardo a lot of questions and he was able to answer them in simple/layman manner. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient. We are extremely lucky to have him as our guide/historian. Lastly, do take his advise on not scheduling back-to-back tour as this tour can be physically and mentally tiring (in a good way - we walked a lot and had engaging conversations with him).

Mixtli was a great guide & very informative. My friend & I lucked out & it ended up just us 2 & the guide. He was very knowledgeable & took the time to explain what we were seeing, what his objective was & answered any questions he had. I personally liked when he would say he was unsure about something. The visit to both sites isn’t rushed but is at a little bit of a faster pace. There’s a lot to see at both sites, but overall my friend & I got the basics from the tour.
