Excellent tour. Our Guide Jack was very knowledgeable, extremely informative, beyond helpful. Bus ride to Montmorency Falls, Quebec City was comfortable, smooth ride, with a stop to use the restroom, stretch your legs, grab a snack (in each direction). Montmorency Falls was picturesque, a great experience. Plenty of free time to explore all Quebec City has to offer (approximately 5 hours).

Worth the booking

Μontmorency Falls is not to be missed. There is enougn time to walk down the steps as well to view the Falls from different angles. The fact that no Ice Hotel was included because of the time of the year left as more than enough time for Quebec which was really enjoyable.

This was overall a good trip, however, note that the the advertised price only includes the drive to and back from Quebec City. The tour description is not transparent about the additional costs and the details about the day-trip. The entrance to Montmorency Falls is an additional $24 and the Ice Hotel $35, plus a $10 per person gratuity. The Ice Hotel entrance is optional. So add about $70 per person to your budget when deciding if this tour is worth it. The guide, Lena, was friendly and very helpful. The charter bus was ok, kind of run-down with no outlets to charge the phone or a reading light. The trip itself was great, this was my second time to Quebec City (first time during winter), and I loved it as much as I did the first time. The Hotel Ice is worth visiting and the Montmorency falls are just majestic especially in winter where everything is frozen.

Quebec City is beautiful! The Ice Hotel (Hotel de Glace) was a memorable experience. I've read about it but never thought I'd see it in person. I am glad I was able to see Montmorency Falls.

Very old and small bus, guide with a horrible accent, left by ourselves in Quebec City, delays and tip extortion before starting the tour.

In general, the trip was fine, but there were several things that were quite disappointing and annoying. Most importantly, we could barely understand the guide when he spoke English. Jack was very nice, but we still got next to nothing about the history of the city and province. Clearly, he knew what he was talking about, but the thick accent made it very hard to understand. (I can't judge his French as I understand very little of it.) If you're wondering what the *hidden fees* are for this trip: entrance to the park of the waterfall $7, cable car at the park $17, fee for driver and guide (note: not tip - mandatory fee) $9. These were all mandatory (!!!) to pay. There is also a boat cruise for $44 (the only thing that we were told was optional). We were a bit outraged because my friend clearly did not want to go on the cable car (not a fan of heights). We asked if there were alternative stairs, to which the guide straight out lied and said no. Guess what... there were stairs, and we would have had enough time to take them. Instead, we were told the cable car was not optional and we had to pay. On top of this, we had 0 minutes to spend at the bottom of the waterfall, where there is a huge boardwalk for people to cross in front of the falls and admire. That was one of the places we wanted to go most and we were not allowed - instead, we were rushed to the top of the falls via a useless cable car (really, the car is quite far away and the view from there is rubbish, the stairs would have been much cooler). The only good part about the trip was that we had plenty of time to explore the City of Quebec on our own.

Monmorency falls and old city. The worst was that we were on the same place about 4 hours. We can do many thinks to do but we stay without doing nothing.

This was a great tour! We left on time and returned on time. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. The cruise is optional which we didn’t do but spent the time exploring Old City of Quebec on foot which was great! I do wish all fees and costs were made known before booking instead of the day before. But overall, excellent tour and I will recommend!

You get what you pay for

The tour starts at a convient location in Montreal but there are 3 or 4 tour buses and no one to let you know which bus is heading to Quebec City. The bus was comfortable. The first stop is the falls but before that stop the 'tour guide' comes around to collect an extra $33 per person which includes the tip for himself and the driver and the cost of admission to the falls and the gondola ride. I told him I wasn't interested in the gondola but he said the $33/person was mandatory. I wish they had been upfront on the website. There's not much you can do about it at this point. The falls were ok but nothing spectacular. The visit to Quebec City itself is fantastic. The history, the food and the sights and sounds make this a must see. I wished there were more information on the history of this beatiful city. The 'tour guide' didn't really add anything to the trip. He explained that you shouldn't bring drinks onto the bus and not to use the washroom and where to meet but nothing about the history of Quebec.

Deceitful, misleading

I felt severely ill hours prior to the departure time. Rather than expose other travelers, I chose to not travel. The agency not only refused to reimburse the cost of the trip but charged me additional fees despite my absence. The trip costs posted are misleading. There are many hidden, mandatory costs that travelers will be informed of the day prior to the trip without the possibility, at that time, to opt out. Poor business practices and very likely consumer law violations.

Glorified bus ride

Quebec city is a beautiful jewel of Canada. Montmorency falls is a unique experience that is a must visit! What was lacking- our tour guide wasn't really a guide but a babysitter with planning skills. There was zero history or any 'touring' provided on the 3.5 hours ride there and back. However what she didn't forget was to collect gratuity $9 per person as soon as we got onto the bus. Both destinations are gorgeous and we had a blast there, just set your expectations that you are paying for not a tour but a comfy bus ride.

The whole experience was a real pleasure, from pick-up to drop off. The host was pleasant and positive, the driver vey professional. The highlight was the falls, a must see. The bus was very comfortable, we could keep items in there while visiting. We were assigned seats, I was on my own and preferred a seat closer to the front, this was accommodated no problem. I definitely recommend this tour - easy way to visit Quebec city without have to rent a car, park, etc...
