Swamp Ride is the Best!

Loved the air boat ride and being able to hold a baby alligator. Made my day! The plantation was nice but only focused on the main house building.

This experience was efficiently run with good communication. Our tour guides were knowledgable and very interactive. Got a good history of the plantation life and an "up close and personal expeience with alligators. Good value for our money. I would stronly suggest that guests be advised, that in addition to bringing water, guests should bring substantial snacks as food avaiaiblity is quite limited.

Would have liked some time to see the grounds. Had five minutes after the tour of the house no time to see video or demonstrations. Was disappointed. But the tour was informative.

Great airboat ride

Airboat tour was awesome. Seen lots of alligators. Biggest was about 10-12 ft. Very knowledgeable about the area, vegetation and animals both. Definitely recommend. The plantation tour was good but felt rushed. Didn’t have time to look around at the other buildings.

More time Needed at the Plantation

The only issue we had was the limited time at the plantation. We had just enough time for the one hour tour of the house. Would have liked to explore the grounds to learn about the various buildings located on the property. We had absolutely NO time to eat between the plantation tour and the swamp tour. The swamp tour was great, plenty of time to see quite a bit of the area and alligators. Captain Brad was very informative.

Thank you for the very positive review. The plantation is 1 hour 10 minutes from New Orleans. About the same to the swamp tour dock. Add in the approx 2 hours at the plantation, to make the tour work between 8:15am to 5pm with hotel pick up, it would have to be longer and cost more. The driver usually advises the guests to grab a wrap sandwich in the gift shop. Thank you for the very positive review of your swamp tour with Capt Brad.

Visiting the plantation was amazing. It was so full of history and the architecture of the house was incredible. I wish that the house tour wasn't so rushed. As soon as we finished, we had to hurry back to the bus, and I thought we would be able to explore the grounds, which we weren't able to do. The air boat ride was outstanding. We saw a lot of interesting sights, and given the 90 degree weather that day, it felt great going at the speed they were. Seeing the alligators up close was an interesting experience, and the air boat company personnel were very friendly.

The plantation portion was excellent. The airboat took us out despite rain, lightening, and thunder. We could not cancel this portion without forfeit of our money. We were soaked they wanted 6 for the rain ponchos that everyone else gave away free, cold, scared, and both ended up with colds. NEVER again

My friend and I both found the plantation visit very disappointing. A 10 minute video and a quick walk around the house, followed by a visit to the farrier. The airboat ride round the Bayou was BRILLIANT! Great guide, gave us lots of interesting facts and info and plenty of photo opportunities. Would love to do that again!

Another item to take off my wife's bucket list. We absolutely loved the airboat ride and swamp tour. We tell everyone about petting the 12 ft. alligator in the swamp. The plantation tour was so informative . It was just the icing on the cake for the day. Can't recommend this tour enough.
Interesting but not a huge amount of...

Interesting but not a huge amount of history covered during tour. Felt we were given a slightly sanatised view of slavery and life on the plantation. The aitboat ride however was awesome, I have been on a few of these type of tours and this was easily the best. Holding an alligator and feeding them as well was brilliant.
