Wonderful Jazz Tour
Katherine_H, Apr 2024
We had a wonderful tour and learned much about the history of jazz and the connection with the indigenous people and the Civil War. Louis Armstrong park is wonderful and our trip down Frenchmen Street and into the clubs was spent great.
Host very knowledgeable,...

Host very knowledgeable, could answer all questions. Frenchman Street venues were a great inclusion.
Take This Tour!
Gary_H, Apr 2024
Cyage and this tour were recommended by good friends who had just taken it a few weeks before. We had a private tour with two couples. One of us was a local. We all learned some very cool things about jazz and New Orleans. Cyage was fun, personable, knowledgeable and very passionate. The end part at the two clubs was phenomenal. Gave us a deeper and richer appreciation of Jazz and NOLA. Would highly recommend!!
Great music tour!

Sage was friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. She gave us a great experience. We would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in music history and open to different types of jazz.

Fun jazz night!
Wendy_S, Apr 2024
Enjoyed learning about the history of jazz and walking around Louis Armstrong park. Sage was an awesome guide. To round out the night she took us to Maison and saw the Champagniacs on Frenchmen which was a lot of fun! Great tour to go on if you like or want to learn more about jazz.
Jazzy NOLA

Great jazz tour! First class guide

Our tour guide Sayge was fabulous. Extremely knowledgeable about NOLA history and a real passion for jazz which made the tour really authentic and memorable.
Overpriced
Jane_M, Mar 2024
The guide was ok, she told about the jazz history. But the tour didn’t live up to this expensive price, there was a lot of just walking. We heard a bit jazz at the very end of the tour, but had expected more music along the tour.
Jazzy night

Valerie was very informative not only the history of Jazz but all about New Orleans- Great person to meet-
We Felt Mislead
Kathleen_B, Mar 2024
We did not really get to see much jazz. We felt like we were mislead. We started in the park, and it was interesting, but I think we wanted to get moving from there to see all the jazz places. We kept passing all kinds of music!
Great jazz intro
lynetteleigh, Mar 2024
Great tour with Val. She was such a knowledgeable and personable guide-we were able to check out a jazz place on Frenchman street and she made many recommendations from where to eat, where to listen to great music, and other places of interest.
Too much Museum w/NO JAZZ!
Daryll_M, Mar 2024
The tour guide was a lovely gentleman, no complaints. However, my husband and I didn't last past 20 minutes. I was under the impression that the group will be visiting clubs and listening to jazz while learning about jazz and its history. Not the case. Too much museum and not enough jazz playing. If you want to learn about the history of jazz and what the current scene is doing, I'm not sure if this is a good fit. Also, the cost doesn't match the experience in what you get.
Response from Host, Mar 2024
Hi Daryll, Thank you for taking the time to post your review. Whilst pleased to know your guide was a lovely gentleman, we are sorry to learn that the content of the trip did not meet your expectations and as such you left after just 20 minutes. We do try to be as transparent as we can as to the content, activities and inclusion in the itineraries that we provide. The idea of this trip is to experience the vibrant jazz scene on a walking tour with a knowledgeable local guide. Also to learn the history of the places that are visited. It is disappointing to learn that you chose to leave the trip and that you felt the cost didn’t represent value for what you had expected. We would welcome the chance to learn more about your experience and why this didn’t meet with your requirements. Please reach our to our Customer Care team at cutomercare@intrepid.com
Love this tour!
jesstseng130, Mar 2024
Great tour! Our tour guide (she had very short hair- I totally forget her name. She’s originally from Mexico I think) was very cool and knowledgeable about NOLA. I loved the last bar we went in Mahogany and watched/listed to the live band. She also introduced me to Sazerac drink which was very good. She was very passionate about the culture n music which made our tour very fun at last. Will recommend this tour to know about music, history and where to go about live bands/music.
Great tour, Cayge a great host
James_F, Feb 2024

A Musical Odyssey
Tarun_D, Jan 2024
Our knowledgeable guide- Cayge ( Intrepid Urban Adventures ) not only shared fascinating historical insights but also brought the city's musical past to life with engaging anecdotes. Each stop on the tour, from iconic jazz clubs to hidden gems, showcased the diversity of the local music scene. The live performances by talented musicians added an authentic and dynamic touch, making it an unforgettable auditory delight. What impressed me most was the tour's commitment to authenticity. The selected venues were steeped in history, providing an intimate and genuine connection to the birthplace of jazz. Cayge passion for the subject matter was infectious, creating an immersive experience that resonated with both jazz enthusiasts and newcomers alike. The Jazz Tour seamlessly blended education and entertainment, ensuring that participants not only heard the music but also understood its cultural significance. Walking the same streets where jazz legends once played and feeling the pulse of the city's music scene made this tour a truly unique and enriching experience. In conclusion, the Jazz Tour in New Orleans exceeded expectations, offering a captivating journey into the heart and soul of jazz. Whether you're a devoted fan or a casual listener, this tour is a must for anyone looking to explore the magic of music in the city that gave birth to jazz.
