What To Expect

Leave the driving and logistics to someone else, and fully enjoy a day of wine tasting, on this guided tour from Manhattan to the North Fork of Long Island. Relax with round-trip transfers, a hearty picnic lunch, and 13 tastings across three wineries included.

Meet in downtown Manhattan in the morning to board your transport for the day. Soak up the scenery during the drive, with a guide along to answer questions.

Stop at three carefully selected wineries on the North Fork of Long Island, and spend around 1.5 hours at each place tasting a variety of different wines. A gourmet picnic lunch will also be served during your second stop.

At the end of the day, head back to Manhattan and get dropped off in Lower Manhattan.

Average Trip Experience in Beautiful North Fork

This was more of a roundtrip coach service than a wine tour. The guides were nice and we went to three different vineyards, but we learned very little about the wine making process and saw none of the production process. This may be because we went in October and things were shut down for the season, but we expected more information to be shared by either the guides or the people at the vineyard. We got on the bus with about 30 people and rode 1.75 hours to the first destination. We then had about 1.5 hours at each vineyard to do a tasting and wonder around the grounds. The lunch served was a sandwich, chips, and a bottle of water. The second vineyard also gave us a charcuterie snack pack and there was food to purchase at the third vineyard. The last 2 vineyards were lovely, but the first was a bit underwhelming in terms of wine quality, grounds, and helpfulness of the people who worked there. All three vineyards were no more than 5 minutes apart from each other. Due to traffic the return trip took 2.5 hours. Overall I thought the price a little steep for what was offered since I've been on other tours that did much more for a similar or lower price, but we did enjoy seeing the North Fork and trying different wines from different places!

This was a really well organised trip. The staff were fun, clear, helpful and friendly. We visited 3 vineyards, tried lots of different wines and got to see a lovely part of Long Island.

The experience was good. I went solo and ended up with new friends. The first winery (Lenz) wasn't that good. They didn't give details about the wines we were trying, the second one (Raphael) was amazing, we had a detailed explanation of each tasting. The place is gorgeous, with flowers and amazing views. The last winery was good, there were more people there, and they also had live music. The bus was clean, the driver (Andrew) was excellent. The hosts were good too, Jo and Vicaaz.

Great tour with so-so wine

The company was top notch! There were about 40 people or so on the bus, composed of several couples and groups of women. This was more people than I was expecting, but things didn't get too loud or crazy. We went on July 9 and unfortunately, the group that I was with only enjoyed the wines from the first winery of the three we visited. Oh well. Overall, everything went smoothly and it was a great way to get out of the city and relax. I would certainly use this company again for different wineries or another tour all together.

The 2nd and 3rd winery were awesome. The first one was not a pleasant experience for me. They didn't allow me to taste both Rose's then told me I could buy it. They didn't talk about any wine just sat us at a table. Please consider a new location for the 1st one.

Amazing experience. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and professional. A huge huge thanks to Joe for always being so attentive and checking in on us from time to time. The event was well represented in your paperwork. It was well organized and the the folks at the vineyards were friendly and knowledgeable about their vineyards. The lunch was good and the bus was clean and the driver was great. I would recommend taking folks to Macari rather than Lenz vineyards,

It was such a great tour! Our guides were so much fun and everything was setup so wonderfully! The wineries were lovely as well. They had delicious wines and fun atmospheres! I went solo and ended up making friends, it was all around a great tour, I highly recommend- the wineries were gorgeous- and I went home with 2 bottles of wine, which easily could of been more had I not needed them to fit into a suitcase lol

Tour guides were professional and friendly. Wineries were beautiful and wine was plentiful. Participants would benefits if an announcement was made regarding remaining in your selected seats from beginning to end of tour.

Wine tour

This was overall a great experience. I appreciate the transportation to and from each vineyard. 1st location was okay. I wish staff was more enthusiastic when explaining the different wines. 2nd location was hands down THE BEST. Raphael staff were all amazing and super interactive. 3rd location should NOT be apart of this experience. The group collectively did not enjoy this location. We were given wine in saucer cups and told to find somewhere to sit on the lawn. We couldn’t sit as a group. It looked like it was family day with kids running around, nobody knew what they were drinking and staff did NOT engage with us at ALL at this location. Huge disappointment. I think this could easily become a five star if the third location is swapped for another location

Good but can be better

This tour has great potential but its not quite there yet. We would have liked to have a deeper explanation of the wine-making process and of the different wines we were tasting. At one winery we literally just received a tray with 5 (very small) plastic cups of wine, without knowing anything about them or of the history of the wine makers

It was a great time! We were celebrating my friends 40th birthday 🥳 The vineyards were very nice, provided sufficient tasting options. We were provided lunch at the first stop, the second stop provided a snack and the third one had options to buy food. The commute was 2 hours and the bus was very clean and comfy. The tour operator Gillian was the best! I highly recommend!
