What To Expect
After meeting your guide at your hotel, head to Tompkins Park, a green urban oasis with a collection of towering elm trees.
Start off with a cup of coffee or tea accompanied by a sweet treat, then delve into Japanese culture while visiting the Little Tokyo neighborhood. Continue to the New York University campus for a stroll around Father Demo Square and Minetta Garden.
Next up, check out Bleecker Street, which has a variety of interesting boutiques, restaurants, and historic landmarks such as the Bayard–Condict Building and Our Lady of Pompeii Church.
You can choose to visit renowned food shops such as Raffetto’s Pasta (founded in 1906), Italian Faicco Market, McNulty's Tea and Coffee (founded in 1895), Murray’s Cheese, or Rocco’s Pastry. Then taste New York City's delicious Italian cuisine during your lunch at La Lanterna di Vittorio. Choose from a selection of traditional pasta, pizza, and other dishes, all served up in atmospheric surroundings.
Your tour ends at Washington Square Park. Your guide can advise you on additional places to see on your own in Greenwich Village.

The rating would be lower but our tour guide, Chris, was a nice person. However, out of all the food tours I’ve been in (including the one we took later in the day after this one) this one was the least informative. I take food tours not just to eat (which I can google and do on my own) but to have some history or story about the places we go to. Also considering it was a private tour and the price was higher, to say I was very disappointed is an understatement.

Experiencing different foods is definitely the most fun way to explore NY's neighborhoods! Our guide, Chris Barron, was not only knowledgable, but flexible allowed us to go off the standard path when we saw sights and stores that interested us! and humorous too. A great afternoon!
