Start your food foray by discovering the Italian roots of the cheese shops along Bleecker Street. As you continue your walk, get a sense for the rich history of this centuries-old area, stopping to pair your knowledge with food samples from a variety of ethnic restaurants, local ‘mom and pop’ vendors, pizzerias, and the latest trendy eateries. Please note that the price of food is not included, allowing you to pay only for what you want to eat and share with friends if you wish. Interesting format food tour.

Joel was very friendly and had a wealth of knowledge. All of us thoroughly enjoyed his restaurant selections and suggestions on what we should order. Having gone of several foodie tours, I sort liked this format where Joel would take us to various places and we can choose what to buy/share/ with the rest of our group. The experience was awesome and we would maybe one day like to try his "bad fellas" tour. He knows a lot about this part of history and we all loved his accent!!

Very nice tour of a unique part of New York City. Our tour guide Meredith, a former history teacher, gave us a lot of the wonderful history of the area while we walked around and sampled from some of the restaurants - falafels, rice balls, cheese, coffee, cannolis, and cookies. Well worth it and a lovely experience.
