Overview

Kayak around the islands of Kailua Bay on a guided or self-guided tour. During this half-day eco-adventure, paddle out to Popoia Island (Flat Island) or the Mokulua Islands to enjoy stunning island views from the water. Snorkel with green sea turtles at Lanikai and visit bird sanctuaries before enjoying a relaxing lunch on the beach. This small-group tour includes all kayaking and snorkeling equipment and lunch.

Kayak to the Mokolua Islands or Flat Island to see bird sanctuaries, pristine beaches, and hidden coves
Look for green sea turtles in the warm waters off of Lanikai Beach
Swim in Queen's Bath, a freshwater pool in a lava tube on Mokolua Island (if option selected)

What To Expect

Meet your guide and the shop's competent staff, who outfit you with all the equipment required for your comfort. Listen to a safety briefing and some basic kayaking instruction before setting off on your eco-adventure. Make your choice of a self-guided or small-group guided tour when checking out.

When your time in the kayak is over, return to the shop to use their facilities. All tours include a deli lunch.

This tour is not recommended for people who do not know how to swim.
Children 15 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult in a double (tandem) kayak
Not wheelchair accessible
The weight limit for a single-person kayak is 280lbs (127kg) and a double (tandem) kayak is 400lbs (181kg)
Near public transportation

Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
Check in is 15 minutes before the tour time.
Customers must be able to transport kayaks to the beach (15 min) on a cart and drag over the sand. They weigh 70lbs.
All guests must be able to swim
HOURS: 8-5PM EVERYDAY - will need to return rental by 5pm

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Great kayaking experience! Beautiful views ! Crystal clear waters! Sea turtle sightings were fantastic. James the tour guide was great and talked a lot about the islands history . Only thing, pretty tough carrying a double kayak two blocks and dragging it through sand and one foot water to get to the beach. Also you should be able to have your own kayak even if you’re with someone. Other than that I would highly recommend! Awesome!

Wonderful Hawaiian Experience!!

Riki was the best kayak tour guide!! He was so knowledgeable and made the experience fun and down to earth. I really appreciate his respect for nature and the ocean. He took pictures and videos for us so we didn’t have to worry about it! I would definitely come do another tour with him when I’m back in Hawaii!! :)

If you could only do one thing in Hawaii, this is it.

The whole experience was perfect. Thankfully we had beautiful weather and the water was calm. Our guide Brian kept us safe and his experience made sure we didn’t leave disappointed. All my husband wanted to do is see a sea turtle while snorkeling and somehow our tour guide spotted them and guided my husband right to them. It was WELL WORTH the money we spent to have a guided tour. Brian also took pictures through out the whole five hour experience and then shared them with us all at the end. Lunch was great too!

The staff was really friendly and helpful, Marty was awesome! The instructions were clear if you do a self guided tour, good lunch options. Overall one of the funner things we did in Waikiki.

Great way to spend the day

Great time! Went today with my wife. We both had a blast. Made it out to the island. The waves were intense on the way there but we did it in about an hour or a little bit more. Totally worth getting the guide had no idea how to do it solo, amazing time even got to jump into the queens bath and the lunch was good till since we went at 8 AM and had time at the end we even got complementary bikes and snorkel gear and got to use that at the beach is after. Enjoy.

It was a nice venture out. You do have to wheel your own kayaks out to the water but it's pretty easy. The water was amazing and we even saw a sea turtle but didn't have the camera out to get the picture. It was great to have food included with the trip b/c after a few hours of kayaking, we were famished. They provided everything you need.

Unfortunately there was a small craft warning on the day of my excursion, I should have tried to reschedule it. Waves were too big for launching, only 2 two person kayaks were able to launch, I was solo. So I paddled around the nearby canal instead. Had a really great pizza included in the tour, and will rebook for my next trip so I can try again.

What a great day! Brian was amazing, he made you feel comfortable right from the start. Five hours with a nice lunch and a beautiful island stop. Had a blast jumping in the queens bath! Saw lots of turtles too! Would definitely recommend.

Booking this was the best part of our trip! There is so much more included than just the kayak adventure! You have access to bikes, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers, and more! We spent all day exploring Kailua. Jamie was so helpful and kind! 10/10 recommend!

They were great. Got us all fitted out with a double kayak and gave clear instructions on where to go. We were able to find the beach and hit each of the three landmarks they'd pointed out no problem. No unexpected charges, and the provided lunch was yummy (get Bob's pizza!) Highly recommend!
