Great intro to Saint Germaine neighborhood

Everything about this tour was superb: the host, the food, the sights & sounds, and the camaraderie. We did the tour on the same day we arrived with 2 goals in mind: 1) a way to push through the jet lag with a walking activity and 2) a way to get our bearings in the Saint Germain neighborhood we were staying. On both accounts the tour exceeded our expectations. I was especially happy that tour included unexpected tastings such as olive oils, jams, and pastries.

Fanny was a wonderful tour guide that introduced us not only to some of the very best culinary foods and wines of the area but was extremely knowledgeable and informative about all the history of the area and the history of this wonderful food region of Saint-Germaine. It was impossible to eat all of the food presented but we enjoyed every bite. The wine pairings were exceptional too. We highly recommend this tour and Fanny and would do it again!

Wonderful Food and History of a very beautiful part of Paris

My daughter and I took the food tour with Fanny. Not only was it a food tour but a history lesson as well. She stopped at several old restaurants and local businesses even though we weren't eating there she explained the history (love the story of Napoleon and his hat). The food was wonderful. The chocolate was some of the very best. We ended at the gardens and such a wonderful place to enjoy your dessert. THANK YOU Fanny - you were the best.

Laure, our guide, was the BEST part of this tour! Her broad knowledge, many years of education in the arts and sciences as well as her love for food and people made this tour the highlight of our days in Paris. We loved every minute! The jam and olive oil tastings, tapas, cheese, wine, chocolates and desserts - best of the best! Loved ending in the intimate cheese store's wine cellar. Don't hesitate to reserve this trip and request Laure!!

Our guide Laure was absolutely wonderful. We went to 6 places and saw more. The ethic was for there to be only authentically French and high quality stops. Lots of history and relevant facts well explained. Soooo much wonderful food tasted and given to take home. do NOT eat before you go, But the highlight was Laure: knowledgeable, lovely and nothing too much trouble.

A Must-Do in Paris!

Laur was our tour guide who shared her passion & knowledge of the French districts, the vibe, historical churches & the people of the lively arissdonments & back streets of Paris. Our group of 6 were able to sample cheeses, jams, pastries, macrons, wines & tapas selections from so many wonderful venues! Because we did an afternoon tour, the tapas sample served as our dinner, including delicious pork belly, pigs ears! Would never have tried those on our own. Who knew they were so good!? Laur was a fantastic tour guide, full of enthusiastic historical information and passion for her city. Would definitely request her again. This tour was one of the top highlights of our time in Paris!

Waste of money and time

I have been waiting to write this review, thinking I might feel differently in a week, but no; this tour is not worth it. Our tour guide, Laure, was so attentive and sweet, and made sure we were well taken care of at all times. thanks Laure. The tour itself is not worth it all; we make a point of going on food tours as much as we can so this was not our first (but was the worst). first off you don't get much food for the price (sample of jam, sample of olive oil, one dessert, one tapa, and 4 slices of cheese), absolutely not wort it. also I expect to learn about the history of the food items and why it is integrated into the fiber of the neighborhood or city. there was none of that, rather some random historical facts that you can get from any website. This is honestly the first time that I thought a food tour was actual waste of not just my money but also my time.

Our tour guide, Fannie, showed us some of the most delicious parts of Paris. Arrive hungry, and get ready to try some amazing pastry, chocolate, cheese and other French delicacies. We went through side streets and alleyways that only the locals would know about. Fannie gave us an overview of the history of the area painting a picture of how things were hundreds of years ago. This area is beautiful and mesmerizing. The food choices were outstanding. We highly recommend this tour!

We loved this tour! Fanny was an excellent guide. She knew a lot about history and took us to some great neighborhoods we would not have seen otherwise. It is an original way to see Paris and learn about the culture. My only recommendation is for the tour company - the starting point is a little confusing. #3 is just a purple door in the middle of a plaza. Please make this more clear. We thought we were lost but luckily Fanny found us. I highly recommend doing this tour on your visit to Paris. You won’t be disappointed!!
