Make your way to the meeting point near the Eiffel Tower at your chosen departure time.

Travel to the Palace of Versailles in a comfortable tour vehicle, then embark on a tour with your guide and a group of 16 people or fewer (or just with your guide, if you've selected the private option). Walk through the palace and learn its history, including the fact that it was home to three of France’s most illustrious kings for over 100 years. Follow your guide through the Royal Chapel, the State Apartments, the famous Hall of Mirrors, and more.

Following your interior tour, spend some free time in the gardens, a 2,000-acre (809-hectare) park filled with fountains, statues, and classic formal garden landscaping.

Our tour guide was very hard to understand when he spoke English, did not provide many facts or anecdotal stories about the palace or the royals. Terribly disappointed.

Time saver and hassle free

Honestly this is a great way to see Versailles if you want a hassle free experience because it includes transportation from Paris and back. We met the tour guide at their travel office near the Eiffel Tower at 8:45 a.m. We then got in a luxury van straight to Versailles and did a short tour of approx 2 hours then back to Paris by 12:30. Perfect if you just want to get the highlights with minimal walking and trying to figure things out. Versailles is beautiful and totally worth it. The guide was knowledgeable and engaging.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable. I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because it seemed hurried through the first part of the tour. We did hit the main parts. The second part of the tour was free time -- which I liked -- in the gardens for about 45 minutes. All in all the tour, not including travel time, was less than 2 hours. We only had 6 in our group which was excellent. The gardens were beautiful, and we probably could have spent another hour or two just roaming the grounds. I'm not the type of person who needs to see every nook and cranny of places. So if you are, a longer tour may be better for you, but I definitely liked the convenience of having transportation provided. The directions for pickup/drop-off were precise and easy to find. The small bus clean and the driver and guide polite.

I booked the ticket to Versailles on Saturday 13:15. First I had a taxi drove me to the meeting point at the travel office in Paris. From the office the driver drove me from the office to Versailles in 45 minutes. That time was 2 o’clock. The driver told me he will meet me at the parking lot at 16:30. I met a guy who showed me to the group of people who were there with the live- guided. The live-guided super nice and he took us passed the security gate. We reached the entrance and that was 14:30. At. 15:15 I finished the tour. The tickets included the garden, total cost is €22. I paid $181 for the tour In 3 hours 15 minutes from Paris to Versailles. Ended up I called the Uber driver to get me back to Paris. I really couldn’t do it from 13:15-16:30! Can you do it, please??? Would you think it’s worth it please ??? I’ll leave this answer to you all!!! By the way, one star for tourist front desk, one for the driver and one for the tourist guide! Thank you guys!!

Very beautiful. Loved hearing about the history. Our guide was exceptional. Michelle was wonderful. Very engaging, animated and made it so interesting. Would highly recommend.

Gardens very disappointing

The gardens were very disappointing and the description regarding the garden tour needs to be greatly revised. The gardens currently are totally ripped up and under heavy renovation so there isn't anything to see. There should be a discounted price because of this. None of the fountains were on. The king's chamber is also under renovation so you aren't able to view any of that so that needs to be revised. Our tour operator was excellent and did a great job describing different things to look at in the castle.

It was lovely having a private guided tour of Versailles. I have been in the past with larger groups and not having to wait at all was outstanding. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and it was very nice hearing history in addition to being able to tour some of the main areas.

Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging. It was my 14 year old son and I and another couple. We went on the 8:15 am tour which I recommend because the palace was not so crowded when we first got there. Though it quickly got crowded but the tour guide was able to easily manuver us through the crowds. Well worth the money and a must see if you've never visited Versailles.

Worker strike prevented this from being great

Our guide was great. Unfortunately the workers at Versailles went on strike. We had to wait longer than expected. Then we had to rush through the presentation. Seeing the building was amazing but due to the strike it was a rushed visit. Our guide allowed us to visit the town for about an hour before we went to th castle.

We opted for the small group, skip the lines, tour of Versailles with transportation from Paris. There were 8 of us and our guide, Olivier. I find I learn so much more and appreciate more what I'm seeing when touring with a guide. Olivier was great! He gave us a history lesson while keeping us interested by telling us stories of past royalty once living at Versialles that one might never hear. It was truly great fun!

The tour of the palace was fine. We had a nice tour guide who showed us the highlights. Sadly the Chapel and King’s room were closed to visitors. Our disappointment was that the trip from Paris to Versailles is close to an hour and the time could have been well spent by the guide explaining the history of the Palace etc. The guide did not speak at all. Perhaps it is the policy of the company and he is not to blame.

Jan visit - pouring rain/light snow but tour guide made it the BEST part of our visit to France. He was an art history major—- had more insight to the gorgeous palace than any self moderated tour. Smaller than the Louvre- more intimate and fascinating history. Loved this tour! Been to France multiple times but this tour was unsurpassed. Will bring back rest of family next year and book this first—— will try for spring!

The tour was awesome. Meet up was a breeze and it’s just short drive from the city. It was very, very cold when we went and skipping the line was much appreciated. We stayed with our guide the whole time and she did a wonderful job exposing all the rooms and the history behind the palace. We learned a lot and would definitely recommend to everyone!!!
