I do not recommned
ANTONIO_D, Jan 2024
The agency sold ruins of Tulum, playa paraiso and ruins of coba. We did not go to playa Paraiso ,so I felt deceived. The lunch was terrible. The van's driver runs a lot putting everybodys's life in jepardy. I do not recommned.
Good trip but left you wanting a little more!
Rebecca_H, Apr 2023
Pretty good trip but room for improvement. The pick up was prompt, but you then get taken to another area in Playa del Carmen with loads of other people where they re-divide you out into your tour groups. This took a good hour out of the day! Our tour guide Mundo was a lovely guy, but sort of offloaded us onto another groups guide when we were in Tulum. Because of the expanded group size we really didn’t move that far through Tulum at all and left feeling like there was a lot more we could have explored. Coba is an amazing place, but again, we were sort of left to our own devices to walk through so didn’t learn too much. The Cenote was amazing and a great way to round off the day with a pretty good lunch too. Overall it was a good day, but if you’re expecting a guided tour and to get a good background on Mayan history, then you don’t really get that.
COBE AND CENOTE

Celene the tour guide
Keith_B, Dec 2022
Our tour guide, Celene was absolutely excellent. She was extremely knowledgeable about the locations we visited and she had a great sense of humor to go along with it. She really made the 12 hour trip far more enjoyable.
Definitely worth it!
Tammy_J, Dec 2022
Tulum is beautiful! Coba is great too. The cenote was fun and lunch was good. Had an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and was able to offer lots of insight into the Mayan culture. Overall a great excursion, saw a lot without spending too much time on the bus.

Anna_D, Oct 2022
They booked us for the wrong tour. We had to choose a different tour the morning we were supposed to leave. We did tulum and awkula, snorkeling with sea turtles. The tour guide at tulum spoke very poor English. The turtles were the best experience.
Lots of waiting
Johanna_J, Feb 2022
Waited 2h in the morning and after that was told that Coba is closed and we have Muyil insted. I was given a minute to jump out and try to get money back or just go with the tour. Tourguides gave only little information of the places and culture we visited. During the day I had to wait extra 30 min (which could have been used visiting Tulum ruins. All the waitings were done in tourist gift shops
Nice day
Debora_S, Jan 2022
Selene and Rafael are really nice and helpfull people. Cobá ruins were closed for restaurations, so we went to Muyil instead. Shame the tour didnt tell us anything in advance, we only were told by Selene at the start os the tour.
Probably better options
ERIC_M, Nov 2021
Not one for reviews but... Pickup at hotel at 720a not for trip. Drove us few blocks into town where we were dropped at souvenir store to wait over an hr. I wrote to company on the way to tulum of my disappointment, would have had breakfast and walked if told. Tulum ruins nice to see. Guide not much of a guide, more of a comedian. Did not speak to anyone but driver and cell phone that rang 100s of x's. At lunch, told me we had 2 free drinks coming, presumably because my morning complaint. We ordered two Margaritas and then staff wanted me to pay. They spoke no English to explain that guide was paying, had to go to bus and pull driver off the phone to clear up. Cenote nice but long boring bumpy drive, believe some are easier and better to get to. And open Cenote like swimming in a cold swimming pool. Then long bumpy traffic jam back. 12h day for couple hrs of entertainment. Prob better options out there. Good luck!
The BEST Tulum, Coba Tour company!
Robert_T, Jun 2021
The tour was made up of Francis O (“The Man” - our tour guide), Antonio (Tony - guide responsible for keeping the group together) and Arturo (Art - Choc Tequila Man and our driver)! This is a great tour company and worth every cent! Our guide was very knowledgeable and knew many facts about the history of the Mayan, Aztec and Inca cultures. And it was fun learning and seeing these ruins with a guide who was really passionate about his culture. You will Love these guys. And you will want to tip them very well once you have finished the excursion!
Tulum, Coda, and Cenote
Megan_N, Apr 2021
Was absolutely amazing, they treat you like family. Our tour guides were Armando and Adrian. They were very knowledgeable and made us laugh all day long.
Very disappointed
DaleM, Apr 2021
Edmondo the guide was fabulous. My problem is with the company. The advertisement on the internet indicated amoung other things that we would be provided with a light breakfast, fruit, cookies and juice.zhis did not happen. When questioned the guide said that was only on another tour. Secondly amount the stop the listing that one of the attractions was to swim in a Cenota. This also did not happen. The guide explained that they had removed this stop from the tour. When I showed the printout of my conformation which listed the itinerary he said he only goes when he's told to go by his bosses. Be careful that you get what you pay for.
Bad guides, did not get what we paid for.
Gregory_S, Apr 2021
Mando and Rafa turned out to be bad guides, tried to scam us for $$ at center, made us pay extra at lunch ( included) and Rafa spent a lot of time video chatting with his son (lost his tooth) . Also said foul language in Maya about your mother's private area. We never were taken to Paradiso Beach and also forced to go to glass/chocolate shop to spend $$ against our wishes. Not on the itinerary. Already requested partial refund.
Misleading....
JuanCarlos_P, Dec 2020
First let me say that this was NOT the tour guides fault IN ANYWAY. The tour guides were extremely respectful and truly friendly people who knew exactly what to do and how to explain all the information provided. Visiting Tulum, Coba and the Cenote was quiet the experience. That was the good. Now lets get into the bad. FIRST I was grateful that we had a hotel pick up and drop off HOWEVER NO WHERE IN THE DESCRIPTION DID IT SAY that they would pick us up drive around to pick up the other people on the group drop us off at a central point and wait about 30 mins - 1hr for the actual tour bus. Our pick up was about a 7 minute walk away from our hotel so that was ineffective. Second WE HAD TO CHOOSE whether we are going to the Cenote or Playa Paraiso. So just to make sure you understand We paid for the 4 different places only to be told that we have to choose between the beach or the cenote the DAY OF. Third we didnt get the breakfast that was mentioned in the description. We had to tell the tour guide that we bought a package that included breakfast and they had to pay out of their own pocket for it. This truly was a FALSE ADVERTISING deal. I understand that covid truly affects our ability to do things normally and I get that but if that is the case THEN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN STATED IN THE DESCRIPTION OF THIS TOUR. I would have requested a partial refund if it wasn't for the fact that the tour guides worked really hard to make our experience as best as possible. This however will probably be the last time I purchase a tour from viator.
Fun trip
Brian_H, Nov 2020
Everything was very nice, the guide was pleasant, helpful and very knowledgeable. We we tonCoba because we wanted to climb the pyramid but it was closed due to covid. They did not tell us that when we booked the tour, otherwise I would have rated it a 5
Not as advertised, however.
Heather_P, Nov 2020
This tour is not as advertised, however it was still a great experience. They pick you up and drop you off at a multiple tour location where you stand in line and get a colored wrist band for your tour. Then wait and get in a van with others. This was a red flag for me, but I digress. While on the way to the first stop, assuming it would be coba, we were headed to tulum. When we got off, no breakfast mind you, I spoke with one of our guides. I told him and showed him what I had booked, and what was included. He was confused...... He told me, due to time, we couldn't do both the cenote and beach, it would be one or the other. I was not happy since I paid more for all 4 experiences. Tulum was beautiful, however I felt kind of rushed through and didn't see all the buildings. Then we headed to Coba. No where in the description of the tour does it say you MUST rent a bike or hire a driver to get to the main site. But you have to. Its a mile, very walkable, but we were made to rent. $8 for a bike and $17 for a driver. The site was beautiful, the bike ride was smooth enough. After was lunch buffet. Very delicious but ALL the tours go to this restaurant, so it can get crowded and some food will go quickly. However, there were lots of options and it was all good, authentic Mexican food. There's a gift shop next to the place we went, and I thought the prices were a bit high. After we were asked if we wanted to go to the beach or the cenote. The tour took us BACK to Tulum, where some guests got off to go to the beach, then, up the road to the centoe for the rest of us. The Centoe was beautiful!! Crystal clear, refreshing water. Multiple places to jump in. If you are not a good swimmer, they rent life jackets. There's a small restaurant on site along with bathrooms and changing rooms. Now, as a huge planner and someone who reads reviews seriously, I was really disappointed. However, the guides, Alfredo and Pastor, made it they best they could. I was with another couple who had booked the same tour as myself and they were also shocked and upset it wasn't the same tour. We were provided with a light breakfast after mentioning something, which was nice. I feel like everyone on that tour, were duped into believing it was something else. As well, everyone on that tour. I wouldnt book through this company again. While I loved out guides, I wasnt provided with that I had booked, nor a refund of any kind.
Adventures await
Michael_C, Feb 2020
The entire experience was very good. If you want to experience a lot in a short period of time, this is a great price. If you want to learn all about the history in detail, choose a different tour. The driver was a speed demon, passing more than most would feel comfortable with and may have been practicing for some Mexican Daytona. Be prepared for a good workout if you climb the pyramid at Cobá, bring more water. You may also want to bring a small flashlight and a waterproof camera for the Cenote. It can be dark in there and you want to see as much as you can. Water shoes for your feet if they are sensitive. Tulum is beautiful, mostly the beach. You don’t have as much time at the Ruins, unless you want it. Bring your towel from the hotel. It is a long day, but you will experience a lot. I rated the tour excellent because it was a good price for all the sites. If you’re picky and want a lot of education along the way, consider another tour, perhaps it was just the guide?
Great day at a great price
pearsoncowell, Feb 2020
We really enjoyed this day out. Each part had something special to remember, our driver (Anthony) and tour guide (Obet) were excellent and made the day relaxing and enjoyable. Even though the tour ended with a visit to a beach and we'd already had several days relaxing on Playacar beach, we just took the time to unwind at the beach bar, have a cocktail and enjoy the views of a different area. It was really reasonably priced too in comparison to other tours on offer at our hotel and around Playa del Carmen. We thoroughly recommend this tour.
Great Tour!!!!
Ronald_S, Dec 2019
I tried leaving a review after the tour but couldn't with my phone. I am glad. I would have rated it 5 stars either way, but after taking another tour in the region, I have another level of appreciation. George was our tour operator. His English was great and he was very informative. He was very passionate about the Myan's and their culture. This tour fits in so many things and is such a great value. It is also small and very personal. We had 10 people in our group and they did a great job of making us all feel welcomed. George spoke Spanish and English and even greeted a German couple in their native language. I can not recommend it enough!!!! If you are in Playa and have any interest in either of these ruins, do this!!!
Bad tour guide
May Xiaomei Z, Dec 2019
The tour guide we have is not great. He seems to be rushing everything. He would walk really fast and leaving us behind. Do not recommend Coba and the cave. Seems to be waste of time, especially you are only staying at Cancun for very short time period. Also the lunch place is horrible, I could bearly eat anything. Do not recommend this tour. Bad experience.
