We hiked up the side of a beautiful mountain while learning about the local wildlife that flourished all around us. Our tour guide was amazing, respectful and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone!

Beautiful lush country

Excellent experience. Wilkin was a terrific guide, I learned about the plants and farms of the area, and a little about the neighbouring towns. I was alone as others scheduled for the trip cancelled, and I really enjoyed the easy conversation, and also time to just appreciate nature. I would have loved an even longer hike, this will depend on your fitness level. It was a great way to feel less a part of the tourism gimmicks and just see the beautiful countryside.

A great trip to experience the cultural side of the Dominican Republic, Wilkin was a brilliant, friendly, and very knowledgeable guide. The hike was great, seeing all the flora and great views, then stopping off to experience some local produce. All around highly recommend

Great moderate hike friendly tour guide

Great hiking trip from Punta Cana! It’s a small shuttle so you don’t go around all the different resorts picking people up. We were just with one other group. Our tour guide was super friendly spoke great English and even brought his professional camera and sent us photos afterwards. Shuttle ride is about 40 min hike is a moderate hike about two hours. After two weeks at our all inclusive resort we were happy to get out and go see some nature

So many fruit trees and raw natural beauty. It was such a delight to do this hike. I would highly recommend if you're in to wanting to see the natural green life of the Dominican Republic. My tour guide was so knowledgeable and excellent!

The hike was hard, but in a good way. It rained so it was very muddy and slippery. Our guide was knowledgeable and very nice. The view was gorgeous. The stop at the farm was nice. Very good coffe. It was a great experience.

The guide and drivers were great. We did have to go down to our main gate to get in the transportation. The hike was hard and quite a bit of elevation throughout. There were muddy areas and multiple small streams you have to navigate. Wear sneakers with a good grip and I would recommend a hiking stick. Overall great workout !

Really enjoyed that one. The crew was friendly and professional. Jose, the guide, spoke great English. The vehicle was very well air-conditioned. The hike was beautiful. I went at 11 AM, sunburnt after my trip to Saona the day before - and I still survived. The hike is not super long, I'd say under 10K, it may feel a bit like an obstacle course at times due to all the steep slopes, mud, shaky rocks, the streams you have to jump over. Especially if you are taking it after a day of rum drinking - get ready for some sweat. But it's still so worth it. The scenery is gorgeous. Mountains covered with lush of tropical greenery. You definitely won’t see that from your all-inclusive. We saw a bunch of flowers and butterflies. Even cows at some point. I also saw the majority of tropical fruit I can think of growing in the wild. After that, we stopped by the Anamuya River. That one was both nice and frustrating because of all the trash people leave there. Then we went to a small rancho where they showed us how to make chocolate and coffee. I really loved that one a lot. Make sure you taste Mama Juana while you are there.

Good overall experience. Good hike and excellent views. On way back to resort, had a flat tire and driver contacted and got us a ride back quickly. Will recommend to others!

Nice hike. 2.3 mi, 560ft elevation. Lots of birds cool plants and a positive experience beyond the wire of your resort. Stopped at a farm after that was very cute.

A Must Do for Visiting Punta Cana Area!

A private hike through foothills seeing native birds and plants - This was a highlight of our trip and we would recommend it 10 times over! Our guide was fantastic, even when I was a little slow getting through the mud (be prepared to get a little dirty and sweaty) and would stop to take pictures. We also went to a coffee plantation on the way back and had a drink of the best coffee we have ever had, along with them showing us the whole process to get that coffee we drank.

My husband is the hiker in the family. I went on this hike so he wouldn't have to go alone. The guide was great. Very helpful. Be prepared for mud! We went the day after a rain and got super muddy. I added the pics. The hike itself wasn't too bad for someone that isn't a hiker. Probably a little more on the medium scale vs an easy scale. I was able to complete it without any issues other than getting muddy. Bring water and bug spray. Also bring some cash to buy some gifts from the local family farm. I honestly would not do it again, but my husband would absolutely do this every time we go to Punta Cana!! He thoroughly enjoyed this hike.

It was more of a trail challenge. Not that I have anything against it. But it was not a hike. You should extend the time. 5 km is far too short. You could for example ad a visit to a genuine home for a coffee or some fruit and go outside the roads/path in real nature.

I was very impressed with this company and hike. It ended up being a private hike, which I didn’t know was going to be the case going in, but absolutely loved it. My guide was knowledgeable and I learned quite a bit. It was a bit more of an intense hike than I thought it was going to be, but my guide was incredibly patient and helpful and did not make me feel bad when I was huffing and puffing behind him and needed a break. I’m not in the best of shape, but I was able to do the hike, which was about 5km (or about 3 miles). And it is a moderate hike, so be prepared. Twice I lost my shoe in the mud, and my guide was super helpful in retrieving it for me and helping me. At the end of the hike, the driver met us with a nice cold bottle of water and a banana, which I definitely needed! They take photos of you and your group at strategic scenic spots along the way as well, and email them to you and they are beautiful photos. It’s all included in the cost. I would 100% recommend this hike by this group. I came back exhausted, covered in mud and dirt, and grinning from ear to ear 😁
