Pickups start at 08:30am. Please be at your designated pick up point at this time. We pick up from the designated tourist bus pick up points in downtown Reykjavik, and certain hotels where it is permissible to drive a mini bus and pick up from. If you are in downtown Reykjavik we will likely need to use one of these pick up points. If you cannot see your hotel in the list then please choose from one of the designated meeting points (bus stops) in central Reykjavik.

  • Sturdy, waterproof footwear recommended
  • We have to pick up from designated pickup point around Reykjavik. Restrictions imposed by the City of Reykjavik mean that we cannot pick up from certain hotels or AirBnB addresses, rather nearby designated bus pickup points. Please contact us to inform us of where you are staying and we will inform you of nearest pickup point.
  • Near public transportation
  • Most travelers can participate
  • We will stop in the south coast town of Hvolsvöllur to load up on snacks for the day. You can shop here and bring food and for the day if you want to spend more time at the sights during lunch. There is ample time to have lunch at The Soup Company located within the Icelandic Lava Show premises. The soups are filling and delicious, as are the paninis and sandwiches here.
  • During the darkest winter months we will need to order food to have on the go, so that we can use the precious short daylight hours at the wonderful South Coast sights. Lunch is not included in this tour.
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 12 travelers

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Amelia was the best person to do this tour. She had the most amazing stories and planned it so well. I was scared with the last waterfall because of rains and i wouldn't have done this without her. All the praise is for her. Then the tour is worth it.

A brilliant tour

This was a long day but a very memorable trip. Every stop offered something different. I enjoyed the glacier and the waterfalls the most. Lots of photo opportunities and didn’t feel rushed at all. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Fab trip. We had a small group of 6 and it was so nice. The bus itself was so luxurious! The guide was so cool and he was talkative and kept the trip going well. He did all he could even some extra little stops for us. Such a lot of knowledge and interesting guide! The sites were lovely and so picturesque. The weather was a bit windy and blustery for the beach so the group felt best going to the bus a bit quicker! But the rest was amazing. I loved it. Hopefully will be back to this lovely country again some day.

Day along the south coast

Rob was an excellent driver & guide. He was friendly & humorous, and at the same time knowledgeable about the area & sites we visited. There was plenty of time at each stop. Rob & Carolyn (delivered it to me on her way home from work) went above & beyond when I accidentally left my camera on the bus after the trip! I would highly recommend & use them in the future.

Exciting Tour

During our tour, we enjoyed everything. We happened to see two puffins at the falls. We also saw people hang gliding at the black sand beach. The lava show is very interesting, and we were allowed to take cooled down lava samples home. Robert, the tour guide is extremely friendly and ready to answer your questions.

Fantastic experience. Ingy the tour guide was attentive to our needs and quite knowledgeable. He explained an dangers that could present and made sure we had ample time to explore independently. Waterfalls, geyser, black beach and lava show were highlights. He sqeezed in some extra stops also.

One of the best experiences of my trip

This experience was everything that was promised. Our guide, Estis (I hope I’m spelling her name correctly) was amazing. She was pleasant, professional and full of historical information. She made a long day excursion very enjoyable. And the icing on top of the cake is when she took us to a special coffee shop for coffee and hot chocolate in Vik. Hidden Iceland is amazing and everyone should book with them!
