We had the most amazing guide. He was informative but also let us rest when needed on the bus. Every place we visited was so beautiful. We got to see the northern lights! The accommodations were cute!

If you are time poor, perfect tour!

We were picked up from the nearest bus stop in Reykjavik (tip: if you want hotel pickup instead of walking to the nearest bus stop, book a hotel that isn't in the city centre exclusion zone). The whole pickup process was seamless, no complaints there. Firstly, shout out to Paul who was our bus driver/tour guide (this company doesn't employ a seperate tour guide so the bus driver has to drive the bus, be the guide and organise everything). Paul was a warm and friendly local who knew Iceland like the back of his hand. He took us to little spots where he grew up and told us stories about how his Grandmother used to bake bread underground, it was a lovely touch. Please forward on our thanks to Paul for his hard work and friendly conversations! We got to see and do so much in the 3-day tour which was awesome. You cover so much ground so just be prepared to sot on the bus a bit however saying that, the scenery is ever changing and you get different views around every corner. Hotels: Not a spa resort but they were a roof over our head and a warm shower at night. Breakfast was nice for both mornings. Lunch/Dinners: the first night we had a beautiful dinner at the waterfall restaurant. The second hotel cooked us soup for dinner at 3.400IK a pop (in AUS that is $38) which is a bit steep (in my opinion) but we had no other choice as the bus got in at 8pm. Lunch on the first and second day were fine as we stopped at cafes/resturants and purchased our own meals. However, the third day was a morning 9am stop at a petrol/gas station and were told to purchase food as this will be your only chance to buy food for the whole day (until we were dropped back to the hotel in Reykjavik). Post glacier hike a chocolate bar and packet of chips didn't really hit the spot! Other then that, it was all fine. The ice cave guide (Mr B) was to the point and friendly. The super jeep was a great experience too! The Glacier hike guide (Louis) was very knowledgeable, friendly and so chill! Thanks guys for an unforgettable time! This trip was perfect. We had plenty of time to see and do at each stop! I recommend this tour to anyone that can adhere to time limits and can be back on the bus ON TIME so we can depart and enjoy the next stop. Thanks again, Paul!!
Amazing trip!

It was an amazing trip to explore the beauty of Iceland with our tour guide Iskren. I did not know which photo to post, because they were all beautiful. Iskren was professional, he taught us a lot of things about the history of Iceland and made extra stops to enhance our experience. Although we did not see the northern lights unfortunately, Iskren checked every half hour for us while we were sleeping. Thanks to him! Overall, a once in a lifetime experience!
Very well planned tour

Wonderful trip covering many destinations. Love the ice cave tour and glacier hike. Bus driver and guide was fabulous in providing stories and information along the journey. He even took us to an extra stop to see the amazing arch in the ocean.
Wide ranging, action-packed trip with Northern Lights thrown in
Henry_W, Dec 2023
After detour to view Grindavik eruptions, to Pingvellir National Park and on to Geysir and Gullfoss. Highlights of the following days: glacier & crevasse walk, and visit to ice cave (-25 on the glacier, -32 factoring in the wind). A few churches and other water falls thrown in en route. Excellent tour guides - for the tour overall and for the excursions. Hotels fine with good dinners and excellent breakfasts. Very happy to see Northern Lights on second night, after waiting up until midnight and very nearly giving up. This was a really good and I'd say comprehensive trip.
Excellent tour

Bucket List Experience

I was blown away by the beautiful landscape in Iceland, and the three-day tour itinerary provided enough time to explore the South and absorb the awesome scenery without ever feeling rushed or like we were missing out. David was the most fantastic guide - engaging, friendly and full of incredible stories. He was so generous with his time, always willing to answer questions or talk to us in depth about social and political issues in Iceland which I found fascinating! As a solo female traveller I cannot recommend this tour more, it provided an opportunity to meet like-minded people, to explore safely and to learn from a knowledgeable local guide. Thank you to David and Tröll for a true bucket list experience!
Ideal trip in Iceland

This was a wonderful experience!! Thor was an incredible guide, knowledgeable, so friendly and adaptable. Despite bad weather on our second day, we still managed to see all of the sights and more! Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Took all the stress out of planning

A Must Do Trip When In Iceland!
Andrew_M, Feb 2023
This trip was fantastic. Our guide was very knowledgeable and kind. He gave us an excellent tour of this incredible country. Everything was exactly as described if not better. I was impressed at how meticulously planned the whole thing was. Additionally, they were constantly watching the weather so that they could adjust our itinerary around storms and make sure we could still see everything. While we did have a huge storm roll in, our guide still made sure we saw everything listed, and more importantly, he made sure we were safe on our trips through bad weather. I would not have wanted to drive in that myself (blinding snow, heavy rain, and high winds), but he was unfazed. Additionally, the accommodations were perfectly fine. The first night we stayed in Selfoss in a great hotel (Hotel Selfoss) that had a nice view of a river and mountains. It would have been excellent for northern lights viewing given that it was dark, the rooms faced the river, and we had a balcony to watch from, but the lights unfortunately weren't out. The second hotel we stated in was in Höfn (Hótel Höfn). It was not as nice as the first one but it was certainly okay and up to the standards they list in their description. No spectacular views like the first one, but you felt like you were in a quiet little place and you could walk outside to see the lights if they were out (minimal light pollution here). If you google the hotel you will probably see (what I would consider) very nice rooms. the rooms we were placed in were a bit more spartan than those but again, not a problem at all. Both hotels were in line with what is described on their Viator listing. Also, they may use different hotels every time. This is just what I got. All in all, I would HIGHLY recommend this trip. It is the trip of a lifetime. My dad (65y.o.) and I (30 y.o.) both had such an incredible time with this group. Very professional, very accommodating, and very nice. We got to walk through ice tunnels underneath glaciers, walk across glaciers, see beautiful waterfalls & geysers, take pictures on the black sand beach, and marvel at the northern lights (fyi - download the "hello aurora" app for help with tracking them on your trip). This trip does it all.
Outstanding

The glacier caves and hike, the sunrise on the bridge, the unsuspected seals, the constant mountain and sea combination and countless waterfalls all paired with the voice of our amazing guide explaining the intricate beauty of the Land of Fire and Ice! A fully packed 3 days and would do it all again in a heart beat.
Trip of a lifetime
Teresa_B, Mar 2022
This tour was everything we wanted and more. Our tour guide, Petur, had amazing stories about each location we saw and he went the extra mile to make sure the group had the trip we wanted, such as asking us if we wanted to spend more time in a particular location. Every stop was a photographer’s dream. I was unsure about how the glacier hike would go and I was surprised in a very good way. The description lists the hike as “easy,” but I would rate it as moderate. It’s not a flat, snowshoe kind of outing. They give you ice spikes, a harness, helmet and ice axe for a reason. You’re walking and climbing on ice. No previous experience necessary, but you should be in moderate shape and be able to jump over small crevices if needed. What I love about this tour overall is that you can have an amazing time as is without having to pay for a ton of extra upgrades just to see other sights, which is the case with some tours in Europe. I highly recommend this tour!
Checked off the bucket list

I loved the ice caves and glacier hiking. I would return in a heartbeat because Iceland is one of the most beautiful places I’ve been to
Worth it!

We had an amazing 3 day tour with Gon Thor as guide.Gon was very warm and helpful throughout the trip. We went from seeing golden circle to ice cave to glacier hiking and it was all so worth it. Definitely a good recommendation if you want to experience iceland in 3 days.
Fantastic tour

This was a fantastic tour with a wonderful guide, Rocky. The weather was good to us on day 1 and 2 so we got to see just about all of the highlights on our itinerary. Rocky also went above and beyond to chase the northern lights and we saw it on the second night. He also got us back to Reykjavík through a snowstorm! The other tour guides for the smaller activities were also very professional. Thanks Troll Expeditions for taking us around to see your breathtaking country!
Iceland is for Adventure!
Robert_M, Jan 2020
We had a great time on our Iceland adventure, even if the weather didn't totally cooperate. Dugar, our guide, was highly knowledgeable, friendly and upbeat. As we set off for the glacier hike in the rain, Dugar reminded us "Iceland is for Adventure!" Despite the weather we still got to do everything on the itinerary and had an awesome time doing it. The glacier hike, blue ice cave, and 'diamond' beach were the favorites for our family, but really we loved every stop on the tour. On the last night the weather cleared just in time for us to even get to see a slight glow of the Northern Lights.
Memorável 😃🥶👍
