Honestly one of the best parts of our trip to Italy. Livio was the absolute best tour guide and such a cutie. Worth every penny to not have to find transportation or wait in line to buy tickets. Everything was done for us and Livio was such a great guide and gave us such a great insight into Rome in general. We saw everything we wanted including the usuals, the Colosseum, the Vatican, Trevi Fountain and a general tour of the city. He took us through the Colosseum himself and added the Pantheon because there was time. The guide he provided for the Vatican was also great especially considering how crowded it was. To top it off we said we would like to experience lunch somewhere authentic local style Italian. He took us to the cutest little restaurant off the beaten path with great food and a bottle of wine at a very reasonable price. Livio made us feel like family and considering he and his wife were expecting their second child at literally any time added to the warmth of the experience. Do yourself a favor and book with this company and bypass the mess. We literally saw Rome in a day.

A perfect day in Roma

What a great day! I can't recommend this tour enough. George, our guide was excellent. No other way to see Roma except with a true Roman! So amazing to talk about the culture and the history with someone who has lived it their whole life. He really made us feel welcome, told us great stories and felt like he was really there to treat us to the best day in his city. Never did we feel rushed, which was an amazing feat considering we did everything in Rome! We saw and climbed the Spanish steps, then met our guide Alessandra for our tour of the Vatican museum. We spent about 3 hours with her and they were all amazing. She was so knowledgeable and while she kept us moving (too see everything we could) I never felt rushed. Her expertise shone through on the content of the museum and presented it to us in such a personal way. We ended up in St. Peter's Basilica. It was an amazing visit. The lines to go in to the Vatican were 4 hours long that day, so no waiting was amazing. Same with the lines going into the Colosseum. So the skip the line is truly the only way to see so much in one day. George brought us lunch to eat in the car between the Vatican and the Colosseum. He was our guide through the Colosseum and his insights and history really brought it to life. We ended our tour with the Trevi fountain and the Piazza Navona. A truly memorable day in Roma. Thanks to George & Alessandra it's one we won't ever forget. A busy day, lots of steps, but never rushed. Perfect.

Tour driver phenomenonal but guide disappointing

When I booked the trip, I had asked to personalize the tour and may not want to go to the Vatican. We definitely wanted to go to the Colosseum. The driver was absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond my expectations. The tour guide was very good and knowledgeable, But I had paid for a full day for a tour guide and because we didn’t want to go to the Vatican again , he said that he was leaving. He was with us from 930 till 1230. His name was Claudio. When I asked him why he was leaving, he said that this was because we weren’t going to the Vatican. Fortunately, The driver filled in and took us to more places and to a lunch venue, which was very good. I feel that I should have been refunded some of my $500 since the guide did not stay the whole time.

Dear customer, on the one hand we are pleased that you appreciated the quality of our services but on the other we are very sorry to hear that it would have been appropriate to refund. The service in question includes a part conducted by a driver-guide and as regards the Colosseum and the Vatican museums it is conducted by a professional guide. Since we offer an exclusive service it often happens, as in your case, that you have been entrusted with a driver with an official tourist guide license. Therefore, since you decided at the last minute not to take advantage of the non-refundable entry to the Vatican museums, losing the entire sum relating to the tickets and to spend your time differently, it would not have made sense to have two tour guides in the car and above all it would not have It made sense to keep Claudio that extra half hour to wait for you in front of the restaurant. Furthermore, the figure estimated in a completely empirical manner but still not far from what a private guide costs for four hours is completely out of place as it is specified very well both in the description and in the table relating to the inclusions and exclusions of this service which includes a private guide only and exclusively for the Vatican museums (maximum duration 3 hours) and for the Colosseum which however can also be shared with small groups (maximum 9 people). Having said this, it remains essential to carefully read the specifications of the tours offered, what is included and what is not included so as to also avoid wasting money on tickets that unfortunately cannot be refunded and perhaps avoid penalizing companies that try their hardest every day. Had the best time with Livio and Marco! Both so knowledgeable and Marco was an excellent and very passionate guide. We walked right it’ll at the Colosseum and Sistine Chapel/St Peters Basilica and really made the most of a whole day in Rome seeing everything we wanted to see and more. Nothing was rushed and Marco provided so much detail and history— simply amazing!! I would 100% recommend over a group tour. Private tour is the way to go!

Jam packed private tour of Rome

This tour was all we could have asked for given only one day to explore Rome. Carlo picked us up promptly in Civitavecchia and drove us to Rome, providing all kinds of interesting information along the way. After quick stops at the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, we met our guide Elyssa at the Colosseum. After a fascinating tour, we had time for photo stop overlooking the Forum and another stop at Capitoline Hill before a quick pizza lunch. We then spent about two hours touring the Vatican Museum, again with Elyssa. We then had time for one more photo stop with a fabulous view of Rome before Carlo took us back to Civitavecchia to meet our ship. Carlo and Elyssa were both wonderful. They are both proud Romans who clearly enjoy sharing their city with visitors. Thank you Carlo and Elyssa for a day jam packed with sights, information, and laughs that we won’t soon forget!!!

Fantastic tour! Georgio and Alexandra were fantastic. They made the tour so personal. They were incredibly knowledgeable. If I go back to Rome would def request a multi day tour with them. They were also very patient with my young son. We were on a cruise and Georgio was perfect with getting us back to our ship with planty of time.

This is a cruise excursion so time is very limited but we wanted to get inside all the major spots. Marco was great, gave us a nice driving around center of Rome and to make the whole schedule work with time to spare.
