The tour itself was OK. Our tour guide was professional and did a good job. However, the lead-up to the tour seemed to be wasted time where we were led to an area next to the coliseum and given low-quality VR sets with a shoddy description of ancient times. Probably wasted at least 20 minutes this way.

The experience itself was very unique. Seeing colosseum at night was so cool no crowd felt like we had the whole place to ourself. Our guide was ok also we were told we will be in a small group but it wasn’t there we’re over 25 people. Our guide was nice but had a thick accent so it was hard to understand most of the stuff.

While the Colosseum tour itself was breathtaking, it seems the additional services from the operator might not be worth the extra cost. Buying tickets directly from the Colosseum webpage could be a more straightforward and cost-effective option. The virtual reality experience, though novel, caused motion sickness for some. The night tour, however, showcased the Colosseum's grandeur beautifully. Just be cautious of unclear instructions – the Italian Police encounter could have been avoided with more specific guidance from the operator. Opt for the direct approach to fully enjoy the wonders of the Colosseum without unnecessary hassles.

Seeing the Coliseum at night was a great choice, our guide was great, knowledgeable & very comprehensive. Unfortunately we had lots of young children on our time slot, which meant a lot of the information couldn’t be heard. (not a complaint as the organisers cannot police parenting) My only suggestion is that there is a strong mention of the VR set experience before entering the colosseum. I along with most of the post 20 year olds felt very disoriented & nauseous for a good portion of the tour! Still well worth the night visit!

Easy to find meeting point. Tour started with a VR experience near the Colosseum. I recommend you sit down. It was really cool but ended abruptly and we wish it showed more of the actual Colosseum and gladiator involvement. Inside was amazing. I have toured the Col multiple times but never without all the tourist (nor at night and underground). It was GREAT! We had the whole place to ourselves. The guide was interesting and clear and shared really cool information. Apparently we were running late, so some moments felt really rushed. For example, it would have been nice to spend a few more minutes taking pictures on the arena. Would have been nice to get a look from the top too (at night). Worth the high price IMO and I definitely recommend.

Dear Debashis, Thank you for your time to write your opinion about your tour. We do not agree with your statement, the size of this tour group was 24 visitors as advertised. So what does it mean that the group was large? At night, after regular public access hours, only 24 visitors enter each group inside the Colosseum, including visiting the Colosseum underground and the Arena. The guide must follow a strict schedule in every point of your itinerary inside the Colosseum. So there is no way to stay inside the Colosseum less/longer than expected. We can suggest you visit the Colosseum during the day, where you can stay longer with 3000 visitors at a time inside the Colosseum for as long as you want until closing. Thank you

NOT worth the price!

The tour has begun with a “virtual” tour. We were handed viewing goggles for the first 15min of the tour. Hmm, ok. Could have done without. The rest, 1 hour, was with our guide Ilaria. Ilaria was lovely and knowledgeable. Meeting point was relatively easy to find.. so why the 3 stars?? There’s NO WAY this tour was worth $95 non-refundable. It was a joke. Not only it was less than 90 min, but it was impossible to get any good pictures taken of the arena as the Colloseum was only partially lit. I took another tour of the Colloseum the next day during the day and we were able to take the most spectacular shots of the entire arena. So no, I don’t recommend this tour unless they cut the price to more appropriate for what they offer.. more like $30.

Dear Elena, Thank you for your time to write this review about the Colosseum Night Tour with After Hours Access. This tour takes place after regular public access to the Colosseum. The difference is that during the day 3000 people visit the interior of the Colosseum and during the night only 25 people at a time, and the group tour by night goes to the underground part and the arena of the Colosseum. As it is an after-hours access, this price is higher than normal daytime access. You probably won't get good photos at night if your camera is not in Sat mode for night vision. I hope you understand, thank you.

Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about almost every aspect of the colosseum. I had previously visited for a day tour and loved how much less crowded the night tour was as well as getting to see the dungeons which we did not see during the day. Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting.

Lost $100 due to them being unable to reschedule due to snow from a flight delay. If they would have been willing to change the day, I could have experience seeing one of my dream locations.

Unfortunately on the night tour, the guide has limited time and must follow a timed itinerary through each phase of the Colosseum. The guide has no possibility of staying longer in any place beyond the time reserved for the group. That is why in the tour description it is clearly mentioned that this tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. This is out of our control, I hope you understand. Thank you
