Too long

We entered and exited every gate for the same view of the colosseum.. Tiring and too long. The garden we visited next was great. But by then we were too tired. A better option is to cut the time in colosseum and give the tickets to people if they want to go back after the tour.

Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and Foto Romano are a must see. These sites are best seen with a tour guide as they know the short cuts and best viewing places. And, there is no waiting in line to get in. Great tour guide with great knowledge of history and explained well. I highly recommend this tour.

Palatine Hill's Story is Fantastic and Overwhelming! Jo "our guide" was informative and engaging. Stories were colorful and brought the Kings, Emperors, The Ruling Families, Constantine, Julius Caesar and more to real life...it seems they were still present.

Great 3 hours of info and sight seeing

Check the whole area for the group pick up as the directions is a rough guide Take plenty of water/fluids Wear good walking shoes/trainers Take snacks/sweets Keep up with guide as the head phones will not give you enough coverage and you loose the conversation.

Rough for a 70 year old.

Don’t go if you have trouble with lots of uneven rugged steps. I have ankle and knee problems. Our guide walked very fast and did not carry a flag. I kept losing sight of him in crowds, and he did not try to help me at all. By the time I caught up with him, he was on the go again. I didn’t even try the Forum or Palentine Hill. Not worth the money for us at all.

I had a tour to the Colosseum 5 years ago, and had an only mediocre guide. The guide for this tour, Paolo (not sure how to spell his name?), was exceptional!! He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, made sure everyone in the group could see and hear, and answered all of our questions. We spent most of the time touring Palatine Hill and the forum, but from there went to the Colosseum and enjoyed a great visit there as well. We shut the place down, with security telling us it was time to close! Paolo asked for "just 5 more minutes", so he could allow time for us to make pictures and see as much as possible. He made this tour an incredible one! Ask for him when you book!!
