What To Expect

Starting from the Ostia Antica ticket office, set out on a guided 2.5-hour walking tour of the ancient port.

Learn about life in ancient Roman times as you pass through the monumental Porta Romana gate and stroll down the central boulevard of Decumanus Maximus. Stop to explore the remains of the Terme di Nettuno amphitheater, peek into the thermal baths, and see the Temple of Rome and Augustus, the Square of the Guilds, and the Capitolium.

At the end of the tour, either return to the train station or meet your driver for the return journey to Rome.

I joine a small group and the guide was extremely knowledgeable about the ancient city. The ruines are awe inspiring when you try to imagine how it could have looked by in the roman times. The theatre and the baths really impressed me
