Overview

Sail out into the San Diego Bay and take in great views of the city's skyline with this small-group tour aboard a 34-foot Catalina sailboat led by a local captain. You can choose from morning, afternoon, or evening departures and you will be welcome to bring your own drinks on board.

Captain Mike just MADE this trip! Welcoming, funny, and interesting. And he tailored our experience by allowing us to move up the start time due to daylight savings time so we could catch the sunset and twilight. He was familiar with the military and historic boats along the waterfront, as well as a wealth of information on what to do while in San Diego. The boat was perfect for our group of 6…just the very best experience!

Captain Pete was great. We had such a pleasant sail of the harbor. Pete let our husbands take the wheel for awhile to sail the boat. That was very enjoyable as we are not sailors and was a unique experience.

The sailing tour and Captain Mike were incredible!!! We went with a group of 5 and had such a fun time exploring the shoreline of San Diego!! We could have listened to Captain Mike talk for hours! We also really appreciated the coats and blankets!

We had a great time! Captain Dave was very accommodating, and knowledgeable about the area. The weather was great, and the boat was very well maintained. There was comfortable seating and we could even go up front for some sun if desired. We would definitely sail again in the future!

What a fun and exciting adventure! Set sail on a beautiful sail boat and learn about the ships, naval base, marine life, and architecture on the San Diego Bay. Captain Mike was very personable, knowledgeable and a true delight! Not only was our trip such a pleasure, but we loved how intimate it was too (only 6 guests allowed). We recommend choosing the sunset time slot so you can enjoy the view on your way back around the bay. We loved learning about the "special" marine life located underwater. If you want to know more then I guess you'll have to book! We will be back in the future, thanks for everything!

Motor ride at the bay

Unfortunately my experience was not good I pay for a sailboat but what I got was someone taking me around the San Diego port using the motor and never deployed the sail because it was too much work for him, I kept seeing all the sailboats having a blast but not us we kept going around the bay using a week motor it rune my wife birthday, what a waste of money I requested a refund but no reply yet, if anything gets this make sure you insist that you are here to sail and if you get a excise don’t go just get your money back Captan Piter he cheat us or our experience, so sad

Wally, I'm so sorry you had a bad experience. Captain Peter told me that at 1st the winds were too strong making it dangerous and you said you were fine with the motor tour. As the wind died down a bit Peter came forward and asked if you would come back and he would put the sail up, and you responded that you "didn't care one way or the other" He thought you were enjoying the entire trip on the bow and didn't care to come back to put the sail up. Peter also mentioned that you tipped him which made him feel you were good with the tour. It is extremely rare that the sail doesn't go up due to high winds and safety is always our Captain's #1 concern. I can vouch for Peter's professionalism and MANY years of experience. We had an excellent outing with Captain Peter. He was kind and patient as traffic causes us to be a bit late. He took us out, made sure we were comfortable, provided fun facts and stories along the way and even pointed out marine life. Very enjoyable. Recommended for couples, friend, and solos!
