What To Expect

Whether you’re on vacation, celebrating a special occasion or just looking to take advantage of a beautiful Southern California day, this scenic sailing trip in San Diego is a great way to spend time on the water with your loved one or a group of friends. The comfortable boat is limited to 10 passengers, making it a cozy small group experience.

Enjoy a sunny afternoon on the water or set sail on a sunset cruise that takes you out on the Pacific to watch the sun drop into the horizon with the glistening city lights behind you. No matter which sail you choose, enjoy beer, soft drinks and snacks to complement your cruise. Provided polar-fleece jackets, hats and wind gear are on hand if you get chilly. There are also sunglasses and sunscreen for your use too, and provided binoculars allow you to admire the coastline or look for wildlife! Bring your own music to plug into the boat's surround-sound system to further personalize your trip.

Top 10 experience in San Diego! Incredible 3 hour tour with Happy Captain Greg. Captain Greg was friendly and humorous, a bit sassy, and read the crowd well. Only 3 couples on the boat, everyone quite enjoyable. We saw dolphins! Seals, submarines, various interesting boats that the Captain explained to us. And we were all invited to try helming the wheel. Unlimited beer, hard seltzer, NA drinks, snacks, blankets were all provided. Always felt safe, even when heeling and going fast. Overall a great time at a great value!

This was our first time sailing and it was everything we were hoping for and more! From the moment we walked in the door everyone was so friendly. We checked in and they walked us down to the dock. From there we met our captain Jake. He made the trip memorable from the very beginning. He was polite, fun, and knowledgeable. Once we were out in the water we had everything we needed such as snacks, drinks, and blankets. The weather and sunset were amazing and we had an amazing time! We met some great people as well. We went out with the minimum 3 people and Happy Captain Greg so it was a peaceful sail. Not a lot of wind and advisable to have an extra layer handy closer to the sunset as the marine layer came in and it was cold.

We had an awesome experience on the 3-hour sunset sail. Our Captain was great, we saw sea lions up close and sailed in the open ocean with sunset views of Coronado and San Diego. Highly recommend!
Paradise in San Diego! A MUST.

My husband and I are locals and have never ventured out of our bubble to experience paradise in our backyard. Everything about the experience was fabulous. We were lucky enough to see a couple pods of dolphins along the way. Highly recommend doing this!! Also, a few tips: Stay at Kona Kai Resort, it's right up the street. Before sailing, start with a Mai Tai at Bali Hai (it's a 2 minute walk from where you check-in and board the sailboat). After the cruise, venture over to Old Venice for an amazing authentic Italian dinner!! (also a very short walk - reservations a must). Thank you Captain Kinley for a wonderful evening (I'm sure I'm not spelling your name correctly, so sorry Captain)

Captain Greg was awesome! Our group had so much fun. The boat is so beautiful and everyone had a chance to try their hand at the wheel. Saw lots of seals and sea lions and a gorgeous sunset. Cannot wait to sail again!

Such a great excursion! I recommend grabbing 5 of your closest friends & having the boat to yourself (our boat allowed 6 passengers + the captain). We got to play our own music on the Bluetooth, sip on the soda, beer & seltzers (all complimentary) that were provided to us! Plus munch on the free snacks (chips, granola bars, etc) which was a great way to hold us over until our dinner reservation afterwards! The captain took us all over the harbor & we saw everything from seals, to the military ships on base, planes landing at the San Diego airport, to a gorgeous sunset. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We will definitely do this again. (Tip- if you get seasick easily, it may not be a bad idea to have a little Dramamine on hand). Five of us handled the waters fine, except one girl in our group who has a sensitive tummy.

Captain of our boat was very capable. Enjoyed learning about all the sites within the harbor and a bit about the naval installations. Sea lions and water birds were a surprise novelty for those of us from non coastal areas.
