Intimate and personal experience

It was such a wonderful experience to be on this beautiful boat with only my family. It was such a personal, intimate experience to have the experience all to ourselves. Captain Phil was extremely hospitable and was happy to answer all of our questions.

Best San Diego Bay Experience by Far!

Sailing around the San Diego bay in the Liberty sloop was very relaxing and the sights were beautiful. Captain Philip is very courteous and amiable, and happily engages his guests in all sorts of dialogue with a sincere smile. Forget those impersonal bay tours on crowded boats. Spend a little more and experience the bay as it should be--on a classic sailing vessel captained by an experienced and friendly sailor.

Wonderful sailing experience around San Diego bay. Captain Philip was very hospitable and offered snacks and refreshments for our afternoon sail. He also shared information about the Bay Area as we were in town visiting. Would highly recommend for a quiet and peaceful afternoon sail if the loud and crowded “party boats” are not what you seek.

Amazing time with captain Phil! He was so knowledgeable about all things sailing so we feel incredibly safe, but he was also really knowledgeable on the local area and kept it very entertaining. He was so friendly and kind that it really helped us. Have an amazing experience for our anniversary. There were tons of snacks and drinks as well

Was lucky to end up with just my dad and I as passengers. It was a great tour around the bay with sea lions and even a dolphin sighting. Captain Philip was really laid back and had a lot to share about the area and sailing. Would highly recommend.

Relaxing sailboat ride.

Captain Philip was great. He was very relaxed and informative about all of the local surroundings. My husband and I went with our great friends and there was one other couple there. All 7 of us turned out to be around the same age with adult kids and a lot in common. It was a little chilly on the water but the sun was out and it was beautiful. We laughed a lot and had a wonderful time.

We had a fabulous 2 hour sail through the San Diego harbor. The day was bright and warm with a strong wind so we did “heel” quite a bit which was exciting. captain Phillip was nice and welcoming made us comfortable throughout the tour.

What a perfect & relaxing tour

We were on a Coastal California cruise & the shore excursions offered for San Diego, we had already done over the years with our respective families. We wanted something different & this was our top choice. It fit our time frame perfectly while in port, was close to our cruise ship terminal (less than 3 miles away), the weather was perfect for sailing and it was a small group tour/activity which was a huge factor in our decision. This classic yacht had been beautifully restored by Captain Phil. You could tell it was a labor of love & pride of ownership, so clean & very well maintained. Captain Phil has extensive experience in sailing & enjoyed his knowledge of the San Diego area. We were so glad we did this tour & highly recommend it. The Captain loves what he does & it shows. You won't be disappointed.

Easy going voyage with laid back captain

Captain Philip was a fantastic host. Our voyage was relaxing and informative. 2.5 hours was the perfect amount of time to cruise around the bay. We managed to see a number 9f dolphins amongst other sea animals.

Vintage sailing in beautiful San Diego Bay

We were visiting friends and ended our week with a sailing trip in San Diego Bay. Philip was knowledgeable and extremely accommodating, making sure that we were having a great time. He was able to navigate close to many areas in the bay, and we were able to see a couple of aircraft carriers coming in to port. I highly recommend a ride on his beautifully restored vintage sailing yacht!
