Alcatraz was amazing. The views of the city from the island were epic and the audio tour was so interesting. . The owner Al was so helpful. He suggested restaurants and suggested other city attractions to visit.

Far too expensive. Don’t pay more than $40. It reallly isn’t worth it. Stay close to the main roads due to homelessness and crime.

Putting in perspective the living conditions in a high security prison in the early 20th century. The Big Bus tour provided knowledge of the various areas around San Francisco. And how they evolved over time.

We purchased the Alcatraz and bus combo tickets and had a great experience. We picked up our tickets on a Saturday even though our Alcatraz tour was scheduled for Monday. The gentleman there was very nice and explained everything so we knew where to go and what time to be there. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a message from them checking in and asking how the tours were going. Above and beyond service, highly recommend these folks.

Great customer service - booked the tour for Thanksgiving, got immediately a call back and offers for a different date / time and tickets to my cell, so I didn’t have to waste time for a pickup of tickets. Enjoyed Alcatraz a lot- the self guided audio tour is very interesting and well done. Boat cruise can be flexible added at a later time.

It’s such great experience. Al is awesome for letting me and my friend change the bike to bay tour instead with no extra charge. I would highly recommend this tour he was easy to talk to and very understanding. Definitely coming back to this spot when I come back :)

Alcatraz Island is packed with amazing views on the way there as well as on the island. The audio tour was a great experience offering an independent experience while informing you on the cool history and stories from the Islands past, it was also cool to have the audio partially narrated by former inmates. The bike rental was a great way to get around and take in some the cities/surrounding areas amazing views like the Golden Gate Bridge and Golden Gate Park and the Piers along the Embarcadero.

When we tried to pick up our ticket to Alcatraz, we were told a mistake had been made & we would need to come back the next day for our tour. Consequently, we had to spend an extra day in San Francisco rather than heading north for the rest of our vacation.

hello, we are sorry you feel that way you show up 20 minutes before your tour at our store at union square and you were supposed to show up half an hour before at the pier you did not have time to make it to the pier we put you on the next day tour earlier in the morning at 9.20 am because you said you have other plans which we did not even have to that and we have a hard time finding your tickets for that day thank you.

Quick and easy to book and board the ferry. Great way to spend a few hours. We didn’t queue for long to get on the ferry and only took 5-10 mins to get across. The headsets were great. Liked the way you got to explore alone too.
