The Best Tour in San Francisco
Joel_G, May 2024
This is our second time in 8 years taking this tour of the Castro with Kathy and this time was equally as amazing as the previous. A truly impassioned tour guide providing local knowledge and history in a no-nonsense manner. Kathy is friendly and takes a genuine interest in her tour companions. The tour is a must do whenever visiting San Francisco.
Walk through the Castro!

Great tour of the Castro and all it's history! Kathy did an amazing job of bringing the history, culture and biology of the LGBTQ+ community. A very pleasant stroll through the neighborhood highlighted by Harvey Milk and other community contributions. Definitely recommend!
Learn your history!

The tour covered a bit of everything. The tour guide made you care about queer history. This was the second time I took the tour (last time was 14 years ago) and it was cool to see the changes to the community, like the placards in the sidewalk about historical queer people. Very much recommend!
Perfect Tour with Perfect Guide

Kathy was an amazing guide and this tour was fantastic. She was so knowledgeable and is very involved in the community so she could add a more personal perspective. She was kind, compassionate, intelligent, and funny. She was super generous with her time and made an effort to get to know everyone on the tour. Our teenager loved it as well and was super engaged and left feeling inspired. Truly a great experience and we’d do it again.
Great tour!

All the history and hidden gems of the castro . The tour guide was so informative and friendly. Also, the group felt very close and familiar to the point that at the end it felt sad to leave and part ways.

This tour was absolutely the highlight of my trip to San Francisco!! My girlfriend and I came to SF for the first time to meet my family for a family vacation, and we decided to break away for a morning to take this tour. Kathy was a wonderful tour guide, and an inspirational figure to both me and my girlfriend. She was funny, informative, and motivational in her talks about how we all need to be active in our fights to make the world a better, safer place for all. We learned a lot and enjoyed all of the places we went on the tour. And the cherry on top was the woman who proposed to her girlfriend at the end of the tour!! I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone and everyone :)
Best tour!

Austin_J, Jan 2020
The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, entertaining, and enlightening. I learned so much more about the LGBT movement in San Francisco than I knew. I was the only person on the tour and she still held it and took the time to show me all the places of interest and took the time to get to know me as well. Highly recommend.
