What To Expect

Make your own way to Santorini Old Harbor (Fira Old Port), where your private charter boat is waiting for you. Jump aboard and admire the dramatic scenery as you set sail around Santorini. Cruise around the underwater caldera, admiring the lava islands of Palea Kameni, Nea Kameni, and Thirasia—plus the pretty cliff-top village of Oia.

Your tour is completely flexible. But you'll likely hop off to take a soak in the natural hot springs, renowned for their mineral-rich volcanic waters, and make several stops to swim and snorkel in the Aegean Sea. Finally, refuel with a meal on board, washed down with Santorini white wine and water.

If you've opted for the sunset cruise, you'll stop at a sunset viewing point. Finally, come in to dock and end your tour back in Fira.

The right choice!

Exactly what we wanted! We were in Santorini for a short time only on a cruise, and this was a great option to avoid the cable car crowds and relax and explore the caldera and its islands. A comfortable private boat collected us right on schedule from the old port next to where the tenders drop off. Our captain, Panos, was an excellent guide, giving us a thorough explanation of the volcanic history of the island and current activity. Our first stop was at the hot sulphur springs which was really a lovely experience. I was not feeling that great so a swim in the warm mineral rich water was very therapeutic. Panos got us there before any of the big tour boats so we had it all to ourselves which was very peaceful. We continued along the inside of the caldera to see the amazing volcanic formations and stopped at the mouth of a cave for a swim in the crystal clear water. We then explored the coastline around Therasia island and moored there for a shallow snorkel and a delicious lunch made by Pamos' neighbour. He served a tasty local white wine to go with it. After lunch we cruised past Fira and headed back to be dropped off at the old port right next to our ship tender. This was a great trip to make the most of our limited time in Santorini without any stress. It was so relaxing to be driven around on the water and watch the whole caldera pass us by. 5 hours went very quickly, we could have stayed on board all day. Panos is great company without being intrusive and is a very proficient skipper. This trip is highly recommended if you are the type of traveller that likes privacy, relaxation and personal attention - we are so glad we chose this trip and it was worth every penny.

Panos and Alex had a great knowledge of the area and took us to very scenic and interesting parts of the caldera. Panos is vey safety minded so we felt very comfortable with out four kids (teenagers). The lunch provided was delicious and all locally produced. The boat tour was the highlight of our trip to Santorini!!

We enjoyed a five hour sunset cruise with Panos and his first mate Alex. Both gentlemen were super kind and, especially Panos the captain, went out of his way to bring us to the absolute best swimming spots and views of the island. We enjoyed some wonderful Greek foods and wines and saw one of the most spectacular sunsets ever. We would absolutely do this tour again.

I have been to Santorini around 6 times over the past decade and this was the most amazing visit to date because of this cruise. Forget the crowds, forget the lines, if you are coming in from the cruise to Fira this picks up up in a really nice boat to see parts of the island you can't see any other way. An amazing crew of passionate locals (captain and first mate), amazingly educational insight into Santorni's past and future. We saw the caldera up close, cliff dove (optional), swam and snorkeled with the most beautiful views imaginable. They prepared lunch of local dishes that were wonderful, including local wines, and sausages. I will DEFINITELY do this again if I visit. We chose the morning cruise which started at 10, we were on a cruise and docked at 10 and not one moment felt rushed. The morning cruise was amazing as we had excellent weather and the right sunlight. I would try the afternoon to get the sunset. Because it is broken into two halves we were able too still go up the funivia and see the views and have a drink before sunset. Amazing, these guys have music onboard and really know how to give a tour- the best I have seen in Europe or the US. Could not recommend more.
