What To Expect

Meet the cruise at Pier 69 bright and early in the morning in the heart of downtown Seattle and relax as you travel in comfort and style to Victoria. Enjoy the cruise through Puget Sound and into the Strait of Juan de Fuca on your way to Victoria's Inner Harbor.

Wide, comfortable seats provide ample legroom, making your trip easy and relaxing. Some seats have tables so you can enjoy onboard meal baskets or a refreshing beverage right at your seat (meals and beverages are not included). Pass the time by shopping at the onboard duty-free gift shop for gifts, luxuries, and souvenirs. Or step out on the deck and observe the beauty of the passing scenery. The friendly crew can answer all your questions and help you in any way they can.

Dock at Victoria's Inner Harbor—right in the heart of downtown Victoria. This convenient docking area gives you the freedom to start exploring Victoria on your own the minute you step off the boat.

Return to the dock prior to your departure time, if you've chosen a round-trip option.

A US Passport, Passport Card, Enhanced Driver License or an Enhanced ID Card (EDL/ID) is REQUIRED to cross the US/Canadian border by land and sea. A Passport is required for air travel. A Passport Card or EDL/ID are NOT valid for air travel.

Persons with a felony may be denied entrance into Canada. A DUI is considered a felony in Canada.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Great trip, but book through FRS directly.

The actual boarding and transit experience was fine. Crew was great, and the economy class was comfortable. Only downside was not knowing when the return trip information was and having to go get my tickets both time. If you actually book through FRS clipper you can select or upgrade your seats. Do be at the ferry terminal an hour prior to departure.

I would like to visit again and stay a little bit longer.

clipper ferry ride was a wonderful experience for the first time. we were able to go on the upper deck to see the view. being in Victoria to see the Buchart Garden was relaxing and enjoyable the touring the place and i am sure to go back to see the flowers in the month of June to July. i recommend to my family and friends to visit Buchart Garden. Just walking around town was lovely.

Not really a tour…

Not really a tour. Just a boat ride to Canada. I wish I knew that most of the attractions were closed for the season. Pretty much had to kill 4 hours on my own. The ship administration was decent, and the staff was friendly and efficient, except they kept assigning us seats apart. Wanted to go to Buchart Gardens, but this time of year, the shuttle doesn’t run. $60 dollars each way for an Uber, which doesn’t guarantee you return on time. I think a better description for winter is needed.

The Clipper V provides ferry service between Seattle and Victoria BC. I'm sorry you were misled that this was a tour. The captain will point out sights along the way as well as whale sighting. Seats are assigned at the time of booking. If we are able to accommodate reassignment we will.

Smooth boat ride with very accommodating and experienced staff. Food and excursions available for purchase on board. Recommend visiting Victoria in summer as gardens are less impressive (so we were told) in the winter. The hop on hop off bus does not run in November.

Definitely a worthwhile trip and one that I would highly recommend. Every aspect of the trip was enjoyable, from the cruise to the shopping to the eateries. The scenary of Victoria BC is just breathtaking. We traveled around town ia th hop on/hop off tour, something I would highly recommend if you are only staying in Victoria BC for a day. We did upgrade our seats and was a little disappointed that the upgrade was not for the round trip but for only one way. Maybe that is something that should be explained upfront. All in all, the trip from registration, to parking to cruising etc, was hassle free. What a memorable trip!

Great experience to and from Victoria. I suggest a one or two night stay in Victoria. The only drawback was that the attendants onboard were too slow serving food! I recommend to bring your own!

My most memorable part of this strip was how beautiful the City of Victoria Canada is loved the beautiful flowers delayed throughout the city were beyond gorgeous. If only my garden was such a beautiful place. The food was great the people were quite friendly i would love to visit this city again. Will recommend this tour to my friends and family most definitely.
