What To Expect

Begin the day with pickup from your chosen meeting point in Tokyo, in a comfortable air-conditioned bus with Wi-Fi access. Avoid the stress of navigating and soak up the vistas en route to Mount Fuji’s 5th Station. Should the skies be clear, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of Mount Fuji and visit a nearby Shinto shrine.

Transition from natural wonders to a fun cultural attraction with admission to Oshino Shinobi no Sato, a ninja theme park, included in your tour. Explore at your leisure, then satisfy your appetite with a Japanese buffet lunch (if you’ve chosen this tour add-on).

Post-lunch activities include a photo stop at Owaku-dani Valley, an aerial tram ride for sweeping vistas of Mount Fuji, followed by a peaceful boat ride on Lake Ashi. Then, we will either finish at Odawara Station, or Shinjuku, depending on the time of year.

Due to the weather conditions, traffic conditions, or suspension of operation, we may have a possibility not to achieve all the activities. The tour will be attending to following alternative places or giving ou t a gift as a compensation depending on a situation at that time. Refunds will not be given for these changes. If you are late for the tour start time, you will not be able to join the tour mid-way.
Due to traffic congestion on weekends and holidays from April to November, the tour ends at Odawara Station. We will attend an alternative place instead of 5th station due to traffic regulation of Mt Fuji hill climb on 2nd June.
There are currently restrictions on the road leading to the 5th station. In consideration of the safety of our customers and employees, we will visit at an alternate location, Oshino Hakkai instead of Mt fuji 5th station.
Not recommended for those suffering from asthma

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Q:Do we walk a lot?

A:The tour takes you to the most places by bus, but some places as Hakone Shrine, you need to take the stairs to go up. Escalator is also available at the Shrine.

The website is misleading. I paid for the tour going by bus and returned by bus. To our surprise we learned that we had to purchase a ticket for train going back. The tour missed one of the activities due to no time. Cable ride /gondola. Very disappointing.

The weather was nice. Poor language skills. Substandard lunch. Missed activities. Tour ended out of Tokyo and we were forced to buy a train ticket home. Traffic was a mess.

The tour guide was the only good thing about this trip. Although they can’t trust the weather they could give one a chance to reschedule or cancel when 1/2 the events are canceled or not included. Rained and fog so thick couldn’t see anything and wind canceled rope gondola. 5th station just shopping place. Basically we took a bus to shop. 50% of time in the bus

Levin was an excellent guide - very knowledgeable, informative and witty. He presented information in a way that was fun and engaging. Excellent communicator and very clear in keeping us to schedule. On a less positive note, the lunch (billed as a Japanese style buffet) was *very* ordinary, easily the worst meal I had in Japan. A very sad, pathetic excuse for a buffet. Our guide had a special meal prepared for him so he didn’t have to eat from the buffet. Felt very much like we were being shipped in, fed cold miserable food and shipped out to make way for the next group. It also felt a bit rushed in some stops, we could have done with more time. The lake ashi cruise was not great and could be dropped from the itinerary, which would allow more time for the other stops.

Our tour guide K was amazing. She gave us all needed information with several facts for first timers. We were lucky to get a bright day for a clear view of the majestic Mt. Fuji. Still due to windy conditions, ropeway was cancelled.

Well organised tour. Our gude, Angie was well informed and kept us amused over what was a long day. We were lucky with the weather, so we got some good views of Mt Fuji. The buffet lunch was great with plenty of variety. We chose the coach for the return trip but most others payed extra and took the bullet train, which saved maybe two hours on the return trip, so I think the bullet train was a better choice.

This tour was a great experience to the start of my journey in this visit in Tokyo, Japan. I came here on a solo trip, and Levin taught me some basic greetings in common communication in Japanese. Levin made sure we did not get lost and always was near to take a photo for us.

Disappointing

Tour was a disappointment. We didn't get to see much of Mt Fuji as bus could only stop at Statiion 1 and for 5 minutes at that. We also didn't get to take the pirate cruise ship on Lake Ashi nor the ropeway. Took a boat ride on "Swan Lake" (Lake Yamanakako) instead. Then we were ushered to the Hakone shrine but were not given sufficient time to queue to take pictures at the Torii gate. The tour ended early and we went our separate ways. No partial refund or alternative tour was offered.

Too much snow, no mount fuji

Because of the weather we were unable to do any part of the itinerary for the day and the options provided weren’t anywhere near adequate enough replacements. In this instance the trip should be canceled or rescheduled. The tour guide was excellent and did try her hardest though!

Bad weather meant we never saw Mt Fuji - and the boat cruise was cancelled - no one’s fault, but as a result this was a very very expensive way to spend a day in a bus to visit a lot of souvenir shops!

Worst tour ever, lots of skipped activities no compensation

actual tour is not the same with initial itinerary stated in viator when we booked. skip so many activities like ninja village activity, hakone shrines, and no compensation like giving priority access in the pirate ship trip and we ended the tour early at 4.30 pm already reach odawara station. whilst initial request is to be dropped at shinjuku. we have to spend additional fee for shinkanshen ticket and if we buy from the tour, they even marked up the shinkansen ticket price. they give reason that there’s traffic jam to shinjuku, up to 4 hours, so we were dropped at odawara station. whilst when we check google map, apparently only took 1 hour to tokyo. very very dissapointed. not worthed the money.
