Overview

Meeting Time at Shinjuku - Shinjuku Center Building 8:40 AM
In the event of the cruise or ropeway is not operating (due to suspension of service, bad weather, traffic jam, etc.) there will be NO REFUND, and we will take you to alternative facilities.
If Mt. Fuji 5th station is closed or impassable, the course will be changed to Mt. Fuji 4th station or Oshino Hakkai.
If the Hakone Ropeway or Lake Ashinoko cruise cannot be boarded due to strong winds, etc., we will take you to alternative facilities around the Hakone Area.
Children must be accompanied by an adult
Infants are free provided they do not occupy a seat
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 42 travelers

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip. We were so happy and really had a wonderful time. Hiro, our tour guide, was very friendly and professional. She knows her way around and she provides a lot of insights and information. She even gave us some sakura/matcha chocolates/pocky. Hope to visit again and join her other tours!

A lovely Tour

Fabulous tour and we were blessed to see Mt Fuji all day even though it was overcast. Lake Hakone offered many photo opportunities. The lunch was a bit cold but ready when we arrived and set out on traditional low to the floor seating. This was difficult for some elderly and slightly disabled tour participants. There were higher European style table but younger members sat at these whereas the tour guide should perhaps ensure these are firstly available to those elderly and slightly disabled tour participants.

Good tour, recommended.

It was a very nice tour. My friend and I are very satisfied. The tour guide Mami was very helpful and gave out information about mt Fuji during the ride. We were very lucky to be able to see mt Fuji from different locations during the tour. Highly recommended.

Disappointing Experience

2 hour bus ride and a brief glimpse of Mt. Fuji. Then a great stop at a wood crafters shop for a brief demonstration. Pirate ship cruise across lake, gondola ride and local, authentic lunch. Mt Fuji 5th station was closed so an alternate stop at a natural spring. Heavy traffic back to city. Guide was disorganized and had poor English.

So our tour from Viator was with Limon tours (sub-contracted? not sure how it works). Kauori (sp?), our Limon guide, is a warm, lovely, tranquil, knowledgeable person. You feel you’re traveling with a friend. Mr. Sasaki-san is THE BEST DRIVER: very skillful! You’re in good hands with this pair! Hakone is a beautiful village. The cruise on the lake is beyond scenic. The lunch is high quality and the restaurant also is peaceful and on the lake.

Convenient and comprehensive one day tour

Convenient and comprehensive one day tour that tries to cover both Hakone and Mt Fuji, suitable for first-time travellers to Tokyo. Would have liked some proper introduction of each of the places we visited as the tour was mostly silent throughout. Also, set aside 20 minutes at Shinjuku station to find the meeting point.

Difficult Meeting Point

It was very difficult to find the tour leader and bus. You need to give a specific landmark or address, instead of a city block with four sides. We were walking around asking every tour bus if they were the right one. Additionally, we tried calling the emergency number because we couldn’t find the bus and the number was not a working number!
