What To Expect

Take on Tokyo with a government-licensed guide on this full-day, private, customizable tour. Since Tokyo is huge, you can choose which places interest you, and then your guide will organize logistics so you don’t have to stress.

You won’t need to stick to a fixed itinerary or be herded around like a large group tour. Instead, you can mix in with locals and travel efficiently between sites with your small, private group and guide.

I had a wonderful time with Hiro Chikata as our tour guide. He was really helpful and explained lots as well as walked at a good pace for my mother.

Excellent day with Masa. He took us to all the places on our wish list. Whilst providing excellent education on the past and present history of Tokyo. By the end of the tour we really understood a lot more about Japanese culture and transportation. He also recommended a great restaurant for lunch. An amazing day, Thank you Masa!

I had a great experience on our tour with Teizo Tsuruyama! He was very organized and efficient. He went above an beyond to ensure we had a great trip. I greatly appreciated him researching where to find the little erasers after they were not at the store I originally thought they would be at. I highly recommend touring with Teizo!

Tokyo sites with limited time

Yoshi was a wonderful guide. We never would have seen so much of Tokyo without his expertise of the city and public transportation. We learned so much about Japan’s history and cultural customs from Yoshi. He was so kind to help us with our taxi to Yokohama- translated our destination to the driver. Exceptional service.

Ryuichiro Yabu (Yabby) was a fantastic guide. He had communicated with us before our tour and asked us what we wanted to see. As it was cherry blossom time that was our main goal as well as the important sights to see as first time visitors to Tokyo. He met us promptly at the cruise terminal and took us on a 6.5 hour tour of the city. During the tour he asked us if we needed toilet and refreshment breaks. He found us a great little place for a quick lunch and then proceeded with our tour. I can wholeheartedly recommend this tour, we saw so much and Yabby was both interesting and informative.

Yuki was a great tour guide and helped my wife and I get acclimated to navigating Tokyo’s public transit system. She was very knowledgeable about all of the sites we visited, and also about Japanese history and culture. The two highlights of the tour were choices made by Yuki to take us. The first was taking us to the Nezu Jinja shrine, where the azaleas were in full bloom. The second was taking us to a local soba noodle shop for lunch, it was very delicious! Overall the tour was wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone.

We visited the Shinjuku Gyoen Garden, Ueno train Station for amazing ramen lunch then Tokyo National Museum and the Sensoji Temple in Asakusa. It was roughly a 6 hour tour. We had a really, awesome time with Mari - would definitely recommend her and her tours.

Im afraid I can’t say this was a great experience. We never heard from our guide in advance. Once we met, he did not really talk to us and walked very fast and ahead of us. We ended an hour early. It was definitely not worth the cost.

A brilliant tour with Ann who was so considerate to our needs and wishes. We crammed a lot into the time and she was so knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. She was extremely friendly and chatty which made us feel at ease. A fantastic tour and would definitely recommend it. It helped us gain an idea of the train system and gave us some bearings of where things were located in Tokyo city.

Memorable first day in Tokyo

We arrived couple of days early before going on a tour so we wanted to see other sites not included in our tour. Our guide Chas Yokoi contacted us several weeks before our trip and was able to prepare a scheduled that allowed us to visit a place with old Tokyo atmosphere ( Yanaka) , a beautiful shrine with a spectacular azalea garden. He also took us to a nice soba restaurant ( we asked for something different)which we really enjoyed. Went back to Tokyo for a beautiful stroll of Hama-Rikki gardens and finally took us to Rainbow bridge. During the tour he made sure we became familiarized with Tokyo RJ and subway lines and he was kind enough to show us the route for our next Tokyo adventure. Chas made our first day in Tokyo very exciting and interesting. Planned everything ahead of time and kept an excellent communication with us. If we are fortunate enough to come back will definitely ask that he be our guide again.

Toshii was an excellent guide. He managed to get us all over the city, literally from one end to the other! He was kind, flexible and, in addition to guiding, gave us some great insights into the history, culture, and religions of Japan. He even spent extra time with us to ensure we saw the sights that were important to us! Highly recommend this tour.

Our guide Tachi was great, able to adjust to our wishes, the unexpected rain made her and us adjust where we will go. She helped us get a fast pace look at some of the Tokyo attractions, like Shibuya crossing, Tsukiji market and Akihabara. Highly recommended.
