What To Expect

Meet your guide in central Venice and board a boat to begin your scenic tour of the Venetian lagoon.

Begin your half-day cruise on the island of Murano, not far from the main Venetian islands. This is where Venice's famous glassmakers are located. Visit a glass factory to see molten glass being blown and molded into shape. Or, if you'd prefer, enjoy free time to explore the island at your leisure.

Continue to the island of Burano, where you head straight for a traditional osteria known as 'Al Raspo de Ua' for lunch. Dine on a 4-course menu including either fish lasagna or seafood pasta, a sea bass filet or an array of deep-fried mixed seafood, plus some typical Burano desserts and coffee.

After lunch, enjoy some free time to explore the colorful island of Burano, shopping for the island's famous handmade lace or simply wandering the charming streets.

After your time in Burano, return to the boat and head back to central Venice.

Great Visit to Murano, Burano and Torcello

The 2 hour stop at Burano and the excellent fish pasta/ grilled fish lunch was great . Ferry needs to update bathrooms.

Not worth the money. There was nobody there to direct you to the correct boat like the description said, so you had 80 people asking each other if this was the right place. There was nothing said about lunch. We had to ask our tour guide who gave us the directions to the restaurant. Food wasn't great and none of the sites at Torchello were included and they all cost money. The guide lead us to believe the sites were included. Half the people were back at the boat 30 minutes before we needed to be.
Murano boat tour

we enjoyed the boat tour, but would prefer more time in Murano, than Burano. Fish luncheon was ok, but we did not really feel welcomed by the staff. Once they saw our voucher, our service declined dramatically. Food was just ok
MURANO/BURANO TOURS
Janice C, Sep 2019
While the weather was great for a boat ride our available time in Murano and Burano was too short. In Murano we watched a skilled artisan create glassware and then toured a showroom which left little time to roam the village. The same can be said for Burano where we had scheduled a lunch, which was good, Again, we were rushed to meet the boat for the return trip to Venice without enjoying the charm of this fishing village.
Nice Tour

We enjoyed the boat trip to Marano for a short glass blowing demonstration and then an opportunity to purchase Murano glass items from the store at the same location. Then off again by boat to Burano where we had an excellent three course fish lunch. We wish there had been more time to enjoy it. Afterwards, we were able to go into one of the shops to make a lace purchase before we had to head back to the boat. Burano is so charming and colorful that we wish the stop there could have been longer.

I loved this tour! I wish we had more time at each place but it was a great tour! We were able to see glass blowing in action he made three items. We shopped for some glass and this incredible factory! Burano was beautiful too! Quick boat rides as well.

The boat ride was delightful, the glass blowing demonstration was great. The shopping afterwards was excellent. Our lunch was delicious too. Both quaint islands to visit for an enjoyable day. Totally enjoyed it.

This may be the worst tour ever. We found the checkin point with no problem. We were told to wait and someone would come, when they did we walked about a quarter mile to our boat. The guide had to give the tour in about 5 different languages over a garbled loud speaker. We take tours because we like to hear the history of the places we visit. There was none of that, she spoke so fast to get all of the languages in that you couldn't understand anything that was said. The stop in Murano was a short demonstration and a few minutes to shop. In Burano we had a terrible seafood lunch and almost no time to look around or shop. They just rushed everyone along. Do not book this tour. You can take the water bus to both islands with your regular 7.50 ticket and spend as much time as you like. Burano is definitely the more colorful and busy island. Murano is just to see the glass making. Murano glass can be purchased anywhere.

We found the yellow booth with no problem but the man was not very helpful. He took our information and a lot of other people were signing up for the boat tour. The guide came and she spoke several languages and by that time it was a big group. She sat on the top level of the boat and talked fast over a loud speaker and we finally gave up trying to understand what she was saying. The trip to Murano was fine, glassblower was interesting and we enjoyed the showroom but there were lots of people purchasing items so we had to hurry. When we got to Burano we were really rushed. The guide did not have the info about our lunch and had to call since she had not been told. The lunch was wonderful and a lot of food but we were the only ones who had booked this with lunch so again rushed. Loved this island and would like to have spent more time there. Had to run to catch the boat before it left. If we ever go back I would spend the day on our own and get lunch on our own.
