Arrive at Murano Island and jump off for a walking tour of the tranquil island, pausing to admire the 12th-century Church of Santi Maria e Donato. Then, discover the island’s claim to fame—Murano glass—as you visit a glass factory, enjoy a traditional glass-blowing demonstration, and perhaps purchase some exquisite hand-made souvenirs.

Back on the boat, it’s a short cruise to Burano Island, where the multi-colored houses and picturesque fishing port make for some striking photo opportunities. After taking in the scenery, pay a visit to a lace factory to discover the island’s rich lace-making heritage.

Where to begin! What a fantastic tour of Murano and Burano! We visited a church and a glass factory in Murano. We watched a fascinating glass-blowing demonstration. In Burano, we got to explore the town and take in the beautiful sights. Our tour guide, Gabriel, was amazing! We learned so much about Venice and the surrounding areas in the lagoon while on our boat ride to and from the islands. Highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Venice!

Lovely Lagoon Afternoon
SaraJane_M, Apr 2024
Tour guide was most knowledgeable , sharing many interesting facts. Boat transportation was very comfortable and operator very competent. Have visited Venice many times, but have not been to the islands Murano and Burano.. Found this excursion to be delightful… well worth your time and great value. Prosecco Toast a special treat !
Blown glass and handmade lace
CarolynnT_J, Apr 2024
Watching a blob of molten sand become a lovely glass sculpture in the hands of talented artisans is amazing. We didn’t see any lace being made, but the finished products are lovely: scarves, table linens, baby clothes etc. The village of Burano is full of colored houses and lots of shops where you can purchase lace and jewelry while eating a gelato.
Very nice, friendly, and beautiful tour

Glass factory and explanations was fantastic. Great show room. Salesman was friendly and appropriate. Not pushy but stayed with us. Lace side of trip wasn't the greatest but still interesting
Fantastic and fun!

Alex was fantastic and made sure that we all had a great experience. I loved hearing about his local experience with the islands and appreciated how well organized the tour was. Thanks, Alex!
Island hopping fun!

We had a blast on this small group tour of the islands of Murano and Burano. Our guide, Franchesca, was amazaing! Plenty of opportunity to browse the shops, watch demonstrations in glass blowing art and learn about the history of the islands.
The must-do thing to do when visiting Venice
Todd_E, Apr 2024
This tour is a must-do if visiting Venice. I recommend going in the morning before the islands get busy. The boat tour of the lagoon after visiting Burano was very informative and relaxing. Get away from the crowds of San Marco, and visit these 2 small lagoon islands!
Murano/burano

Great trip to murano and burano. Guide Alexander very knowledgeable and friendly. Murano glass blowing was amazing to witness and the island itself is beautiful. Burano was spectacular with all the different colours and quirky little streets. Lots of choices for shopping and food. Highly recommended 👌

was expecting more from this tour, it is basically a boat trip to other islands in Venice. provide basic info about Venice in generally. glass factory was ok, they partner up with the shop by bringing more people there. you have the chance to see some beautiful glass work.
Beautiful Burano noisy engine
Roger_D, Apr 2024
We enjoyed the trip. Highlight was the beautiful island of Burano. Downside was we could not hear anything from the guide because of the noise of the engine on the boat
An awesome experience!
Dilan_P, Apr 2024
It was a great experience. We travelled as a family of 5 with 3 kids. We couldn't make it on our initially booked timeslot as our flight got delayed. But, we were kindly booked in for a trip on the next day! Our tour guide was a local person who was extremely knowledgeable about Venice overall. He clearly explained everything during the trip. The Glass Blowing demonstration at Murano Island was just mind-blowing! It's crazy to even think about the skill levels of these Italian craftsmen... You just have to see it to believe it! The tranquil and colourful Burano Island was a nice visit too. Opportunities for colourful selfies and family photos are available at every corner of the island. Just don't forget to grab a pack of hand-made speciality cookies of Burano before you return! Overall, the experience was well worth the money. We will definitely repeat this itinerary if we visit Venice again in the future!
Fantastic tour to the famous Murano & Burano islands!
Amy_R, Apr 2024
This was a great tour. Our guide Frederico was knowledgeable, friendly and happy to answer any questions. The tour visited Murano with a great glass blowing demonstration and amazing pieces of work to purchase (all staff were so welcoming and friendly). Burano was full of character, bright/colourful buildings and lovely little shops/food. Would highly recommend this tour. Something to note - I was very impressed that our tour proceeded with only a very small group given the time of year and addition of a new time slot. Most other tour companies would have cancelled or rescheduled us! 10/10!!
Murano/Burano trip
Antonella_E, Apr 2024
Our guide was fantastic and very helpful. The visit to see a Murano glass blower and sculptor at work was fantastic and Burano was beautiful. Well worth doing and very good value for money.
Fun, smooth, organized, and enjoyable

The island tours were great and Alex our tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions we had. The islands were beautiful and had kind people. Finding Alex at the beginning was easy and fast, our boat driver was kind and we finished the tour off with some music and fun history about Venice.
Good tour

Good tour with great views. Burano is very colourful. Glass making was fascinating but shop was slightly pricey.
Great Tour, would definitely repeat!

We had an awesome guide (didnt catch his name, sorry) who shared great stories and took us to some fabulous spots. He made good use of the boat travel time by sharing history and noting significance of the various places we passed.
