Tour included both local history and local food establishments. It was fine, but the choice of the food items was not quite up to what we have had on other Viator food tours.

Most of the food was outstanding. The scones, pizza and creme brulee were amazing. Pizza from Canale and the creme brulee were the standouts. We even went back to Canale for dinner that evening. Did not have enough room to enjoy the falafel. Would suggest something lighter before eating creme brulee. Food excellent, but the history was lacking. My son was really looking forward to going to the Exorcist Steps on the tour as well as more history about Georgetown. Maybe going to well know people that lived in Georgetown.

The food was very tasty although I would have preferred more stops with smaller tastes at each spot so we could have a greater variety of experiences. On this tour we stopped at 4 spots and had full-sized portions at each location so we were very full at the end.

Fun way to spend an afternoon

The food and history tour was fun. Our tour guide was great and really nice. I saw a similar food tour on Viator for only $80. It was sold out, so I booked this one. The tour was great but I don’t think it was worth $50 more than the other one. I thought the price difference was to pay for alcohol because the description says it includes food and beverages. Not so. It was worth doing but I don’t think it was worth $130. Also, I wish there was a way to tip the guide when booking or if an individualized survey was sent afterwards to let you do that since no one has cash anymore.

Great food, great fun. We lived out tour with Sonika. We had very substantial portions at each stop . Fun history, and some scenic walking to help burn off the delicious food. We also submitted some food restrictions ahead of time, and they were very accommodating!

Absolute must do while in DC!

Sonika was one of the best guides I’ve had on foodie tours , and I have been on quite a few. She was intelligent; knew the history of Georgetown and DC, and was extremely personable all at once. She made this tour interesting and fun! She took us to all local places, and the food at each place was to die for. I’ve got to say though, my favorite was the meeting place. OMG, the squash soup was freaking amazing. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!!! I could have eaten nothing but that and still would have given this tour a 5 star rating, though the pizza, falafel, and creme brule was the best I have ever eating. HIGHLY recommend this tour!

Jim our foodie / tour guide is excellent! He picked amazing restaurants with great food. We had the best falafel sandwich we’ve ever had and we had the best meatballs we have ever had this side of Rome. He also provided a perfect amount of history on DC and Georgetown. He is knowledgeable, engaging and fun. You get a special treat at the end, but you’ll just have to be surprised!
