Capped with snow throughout the winter months and cloaked with wildflowers through the summer, the rocky plateaus and lush valleys of Morocco’s Atlas Mountains provide a striking backdrop for hiking and mountain biking treks, as well as cultural visits to Morocco’s remaining Berber tribes. Sprawling along the frontier of the Sahara, the range runs from the Atlantic coast to the northern Rif Mountains.

One of the best experiences in Marrakech
The tour was absolutely amazing. A full day of experiencing the Berber culture and Atlas Mountains. Spectacular view and great information during the whole day. Omar was 10/10 - and eating lunch at his family’s was definitely a memorable experience. He also went out of his way the whole day to help take pictures and answer any questions. Highly recommend this tour, you won’t be disappointed.

100 stars out of 10
My partner and I had such an amazing experience! Seeing the sun rise over the atlas mountains was absolutely worth the 5am wake up. I would book this tour again and again. Elena was our balloon operator and she did such an amazing job. I always felt safe as she explained what we were doing- when we would go up or move. The atmosphere was amazing. Thank you all so much for such a great experience!

A:Yes. The Atlas Mountains, rising majestically from North Africa, are something of a dream destination for adventure seekers. The mountains have a lot to offer in terms of outdoor activities, from trekking to lofty summits to strolling through Berber villages in the rugged countryside.
Q:How long does it take to hike the Atlas Mountains?

Q:What should I wear on a day trip to the Atlas Mountains?
A:For a day trip to the Atlas Mountains, opt for comfortable clothing and layers. A pair of sturdy boots is a must, as are a few warm and waterproof layers to guard against the mountain winds (which get cold at higher elevations) and unpredictable weather.
