In this tour we visit the oldest Jewish cemetery in the Balkans, we walk through the old Jewish neighbourhood to see where the Jewish once people lived, visit the Old Bazaar to see where the Jewish people once worked, and we see the many monuments that the local people of Bitola enacted in memory of their fellow citizens. In the process we learn also about the rich history of Bitola and its tasty cuisine.

Ohrid is fully decorated with historical, cultural and religious gems. Some of these remaining’s dates back from the antiquity. With her specific architecture Ohrid attracts a growing number of tourists each year, but as an alternative destination still remains calm. Since 1979, the old city and the lake of Ohrid are both listed as UNESCO world heritage. During this city tour you will visit various highlights, such as the statue of St. Kliment, the boulevard, the 13th century church of St. Sofija, amphitheater and many more. After a coffee break you will further explore the vibrant old city, until you reach the world-famous church St. John Kaneo. Surrounded by high mountains and deep canyons, the Mariovo region is interesting for its history, ethnology, traditions, and culture. The wanted destination is the almost abandoned village of Zovich, famous for the beautiful Stonebridge, called the movie bridge, due to several movies filmed here. We can make a good hike in the surroundings and make beautiful photos.

When people describe Skopje, they frequently use the term open-air museum. And it’s not without a reason. Skopje is ornated with historical buildings, old remaining’s, bridges, statues, churches, mosques and many more. When arriving in Skopje our tour guide will enlighten you with the rich stories about the city, while walking through the beautiful landmarks. Moreover, you will see the famous square Macedonian square, the stone bridge, the old bazaar, mosques and the church St. Spas known for her particular iconostasis. Before roaming the city, with the given free time, by yourself, you will visit the scars of the earthquake of 1963 and enter the forged house of non-other than holy Mother Teresa. Interesting fact: Did you know that Roman emperor Justinian l, was born in Tauresium, which is located in the region of Skopje. He was the only byzantine emperor that succeeded reconquering Rome.

This is a half-day tour that takes you to the town of Struga riding along the north-east coast of Lake Ohrid. You will have an opportunity to have lunch enjoying the view of river Crn Drim in the center of Struga, buy some local goods from the open market and visit Nezlobinski Museum – the unique presenter of the natural and cultural heritage of the region of Lake Ohrid – UNESCO, with over 10,000 examples of flora and stuffed fauna from the Ohrid and Prespa region. The goal of this tour is to cycle around the lake of Ohrid, which is 94 km long! I encountered a dozen different idyllic (fishing) villages, ancient historical remains, and pure nature in 2 countries, North-Macedonia and Albania. On the road, many photo stops and breaks will be made, for example, in the National Park of Galicica, Lin, Pogradec, Radozda, Struga, and many more, where you will have the chance to make astonishing pictures. Your adventure starts in the city of Ohrid at 09:00, where your e-bike and gear are waiting. Bike until you reach the Albanian border and arrive in the town of Pogradec, where you will take a break and enjoy your lunch. From Pogradec, cycle back to North Macedonia. After passing the border again, you will go via Struga to the starting point in Ohrid, where your transfer will bring you back to your accommodation. 

Going on this trip will be a real escape from everyday life. We will feel the nature in Mavrovo National Park and visit the most spiritual place in the country, St. John Monastery Bigorski.
