Min vuxna dotter och jag har haft denna turné oerhört. Det var en härlig solig dag och vår reseguide var så informativ. Med tanke på att min pappa hade landat på Juno Beach på D - dagen, betydde det mycket för oss att få denna möjlighet. Beny - sur - Mer kyrkogården var mycket rörande att se alla de kanadensiska gravarna också. Det finns så mycket historia i området och det fick mig att veta mer!

Queen’s Own Canada House was a special for my husband. Visiting the sites and hearing the stories made the soldiers sacrifice very real and meaningful. Our guide (young man) was very informative, and sensitive to our feelings to allow us as much time as possible. Very much appreciated. Having a small group of 4 also made the tour much better.

Romain, our tour guide went above and beyond to learn if any of our relatives were in WWII. Sorry this took so long to write Romain. I went on Weds, May 11, 2022. I told him that I thought that my mom's cousin landed on D-Day. He was a 1st Hussar and a tanker. Romain was able to confirm that indeed MP Marcus A616 6th Armd. Regt., 1st Hussars did land on D-Day and drove across the very beach that we were standing on. Sadly, he was killed closing the Falaise gap outside Versainville August 15, 1944 at age 24. I had been to Bayeux Memorial a few time but this time, I noticed the book with the cross on it nearby. Romain kindly explained it's significance at one of our sites and that we can write a sentiment in it. He also made sure that we all saw the movie in Juno Beach Centre. Visiting Abbey d’Ardenne was particularly moving. This tour was so worth while; I haven't stopped thinking about it. I will definitely return. Just wish the tour was a little longer. Great Tour of Canadian Beaches

A truly knowledge and passionate guide brought us to the all the important spots involving Canadian forces in the Battle of Normandy. He highlighted both the overall picture as well as added more personal details from the lives lost.

Canadian World War II Sites

Booking online was easy. Our guide and driver Caroline was very knowledgeable and we were given an adequate amount of time at each of our stops. The train station location was convenient as we had to take a train, then a bus back to our hotel in Cabourg. The Juneau Beach Centre was excellent with interactive displays and a very emotional film. We very much enjoyed walking on Juneau Beach and viewing the historical monuments there. Reading the headstones at the Beny-sur-Mer cemetery was also very emotional. We were disappointed that the write-up about the tour included a visit to Ardenne Abbey but there wasn't time to include that. Either the description should be changed or extra time allowed to include this important Canadian war site.

She not only gave us a comprehensive tour of the sites, and tons of useful information, but she also gave the group time to explore on their own. The best way to be introduced to Juno beach

We were picked up promptly and our tour guide was an excellent driver. She was full of knowledge about Juno beach and kept the conversation going when it lulled. A car is really essential to see all of the Canadian related D day sights and having a friendly, knowledge guide who spoke excellent English made it a perfect day. She also has us back at the train station in plenty of time for the 1830 train back to Paris.

My half-day tour was fantastic. Got to see all the relevant sites for the Canadian portion of the Normandy invasion. The tour guide, Celine, was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. Not to mention, she has excellent parking skills:)

Excellent Canadian History tour

This is a wonderful half day tour from Bayeaux that encompasses the Juno Beach Centre, Juno Beach itself, the Canadian Cemetery, and the Abbey. Our guide Celine was excellent with her detailed descriptions, pictures, and patience with all our questions. While it is a sombrr experience, she was also able to inject stories that helped us understand the personal side of the Normandy battle. Thank you so much for a wonderful and educational tour.

Tour van was waiting for us as we were a tad late and our right away made us feel comfortable . Our guide was most informative on dates names troop movements etc for D day and the weeks following. I was glad as a Canadian to see the places of our contribution and the flag flying in so many spots . I would recommend all Canadians to take this tour .

It was good tour!, I would recommend it to anyone! Did not feel rushed at all! Expectations were clear! And we had lots of time at each stop! Maybe a little more time at the juno beach centre would have been nice. Other then that it was well organized and very well explained loved Sunny our tour guide!

Great tour of Canadian battlefield and beach

We were so pleased to have finally found a tour that does the Canadian battlefields as most do the US sites. Tour included all the important areas - Juno Beach Centre, battlefield beach at Beny-sur Mer, Canadian cemetery and l’Abbaye d’Ardenne. The tour guide gave detailed information at each site along with pictures and she gave us enough free time to fully appreciate each area. The pick-up and drop off at our hotel was appreciated.

Highlight of our trip! Incredibly knowledgeable host was able to answer all of our questions and had such a passion for history. Your see a lot in a few hours but it does not feel rushed. Its a very moving tour and I couldn't recommend it more. Bayeux is an easy train ride from Paris if your staying there and you can arrange pickup at the station.

Tour of Canadian WWII Sites in Normandy

Our tour guide was Gwin and he was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and was able to depart his knowledge in a very engaging manner. This was only a half day tour (5 hours) and yet we were able to see the various allied forces landing sites on Juno Beach, the Canadian Cemetery, the Juno Beach Canadian War museum and the Abbey at Verdennes. It was a very moving and educational day and Gwin was able to keep us on track without us feeling rushed. I would highly recommend.

Memorable and moving to visit the beach and then reflect on the lives lost while walking through the cemetery.

David, our tour guide had a wealth of knowledge and was pleasant and accommodating to both myself and adult son. While in the cemetery we happened to meet a local historian who was planting flowers at six graves. This gentleman is an author and it was an extra special treat to chat with him.

We had a very good experience on this tour. Philip was a very knowledgeable and energetic tour guide. He gave us great insights into preparations for D-Day, great detail of D-Day itself and the days and weeks afterwards. A very humbling experience and something we would recommend for anyone, Canadian or otherwise. Some logistical notes we took the train from Paris, and with the length of the tour, it worked out to be a very good day trip. We were picked up at Bayeux train station at 13:00 although other pickups in the area can be arranged , and we were able to make the 18:35 back to Paris we had originally booked on the 20:09, but pulled it ahead, note: some train tickets have restrictions and can not be changed, we were only able to rebook because the later train was delayed 40 min.
