    What To Expect

    Head to Prins Hendrikkade in the city center for your evening Amsterdam canal sightseeing cruise.

    During your cruise, settle in for a sumptuous 4-course dinner, paired with unlimited beer, wine, and soft drinks. Your dinner will start with hors-d’oeuvres of freshly baked bread with butter and oil, followed by the dishes you chose at booking.

    Watch the sun go down over the city and glide past top Amsterdam attractions, including West Church (Westerkerk) and the Anne Frank House. Listen to the onboard commentary and learn all about Anne, the young Jewish girl who hid from the Nazis in the house’s secret annex.

    Having dinner with friends on the boat and seeing the city from the water. The food was not that great and they did not accommodate my friend that has a food allergy even though it was mentioned it when booking.

    We were left to queue outside in the pouring rain for 20 minutes. The toilets inside the waiting room were horrifically disgusting and you had to pay for them. Then we were shouted at by a female member of staff for standing in the wrong place and when we pointed out there was nowhere else to stand she said we either move or wait outside in the rain. Exceptionally rude. All before we boarded the boat. Cruise was ok but spoilt by the absolute shambles of checking in beforehand. The toilet on board the boat was blocked. There was a leak in the boat roof above our table.

    The company running the dinner cruise was overwhelmed by those waiting, it was raining hard with no effort to shelter guests. The tenseness was expressed to the guests. Once on board, besides the constant drip from rainwater that leaked on my head, the waitstaff ignored the guests requests, in our case for clean water glasses, due to being moved once seated. Plus we had to literal stick out our hand & stop the waitress & ask for wine or water. Once telling her 3 times that we needed refills. The meal was so, so. There was no tour of Amsterdam provided. No effort was made to quiet the use of really foul language of some guests. All in all, we got the worst city tour & dinner cruise we’ve ever experienced out of the way in one evening. So I guess there was a silver lining to it after all.

    Disappointed, unhappy! Booked 5 months in advance. My family of three was split between tables. Unable to have conversations. How could we be expected to while the Servers are constantly walking up and down the aisle to serve the dinner. Poor planning by the provider. Proper seating should have been understood and arranged ahead of time. Not a good experience for me and my family!

    Lovely dinner canal cruise, very cosy and atmospheric. The staff were all very efficient, and friendly. The food was good, although I didn't get the main course which I had ordered. All in all a very nice experience.

    Very enjoyable meal amd cruise along the canal in the evening. The food and drink was good but the use of the toilet let it down as the sink tap did not work !

    The overall experience was a disappointment. The boat was enclosed so the sound was an issue. The captain attempted to give details and information but he wouldn’t wait for the boat to quiet down after he began speaking. The end was result was by the time the crowd realized he was speaking and became quiet he was done. We didn’t hear a single relevant point along the trip. The service was spotty. We were continuously skipped and had to ask for refills repeatedly. The food was as you would expect on a dinner cruise, public cafeteria at best. If I had it to do over I would take a tour in the river and then go eat somewhere else. This tour disappointed.

    Meal that we ordered was not provided. We did not want a substitute. No offer of refund was provided. This was paid in advance, so we were trapped. In a normal restaurant you can pay later. Viator also would not refund. In addition the boat was super loud with everyone talking over each other to be heard. Would not recommend this tourist trap.

    The table was presented to a very high standard . The crew were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was fun relaxed and informative. The food was to a high standard and we thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend. The toilet needed soap and a hand dryer!

    This would have been excellent, except it was raining so much we could see the sites through the windows. Other than that it was lovely, servers were helpful, food was great, drinks kept coming and the driver/guide was good…it was just a little hard to hear him and we couldn’t really see anything in the rain. Definitely recommend.
    Small boat, congested space!

    Firstly, the guy at the counter giving everyone entry tokens is quite rude. It seemed as if he was doing us a favour by offering this trip for free. No sense of customer service! Secondly, the boat is small and congested. They make you sit on a table of 6 people and it is completely crammed. The seats are like waiting chairs at a train station and the table should ideally accommodate just 2 people. Thirdly, you are asked to share this crammed space with 4 other strangers. This might appeal to some people but for the two of us, we were looking for something more personal (like their listing claimed). Fourthly, the food was good and no complains there. Overall, I would not recommend this to others, especially if you have experienced a lunch/dinner cruise in any of the boats in Paris. We were very disappointed.
