Great ruins tour guide!

The tour guide at the ruins was amazing! Was a little surprised to be picked up in a personal car with just us and the driver versus being in a tour van or shuttle, but that was ok.

Erwin was a great driver, the site is one of the later Mayan era ones, not as large as some but every bit as interesting. Hector the guide there was excellent.

Melvin was our tour guide and he was amazing! So kind and knowledgeable, we loved learning about his culture/culture’s history. It was a wonderful tour, very informative, wonderful to walk around, and see the small museum full of artifacts from this site. Pickup and drop off were very punctual and kind as well! The company was quick to answer any questions we had as well.

Neither our driver nor our guide spoke English, so it was a little challenging to understand everything. Nevertheless, the ruins were amazing and we were able to get enough information to make this trip worthwhile.

Our Iximche guides for this tour are bilingual (English/Spanish) and sometimes even trilingual (a Mayan language) but I will ask what happened (if there was a last minute cancellation for our guide). This was a very good trip to a fascinating Mayan city. Pablo, our driver, was excellent. It is an hour or more out of Antigua into the mountains. Our guide, Melvin, was knowledgable and engaging.

Our tour guide and our driver were really great! You get a museum tour and also the ruins. We even saw some people praying there. I would 100% do this trip again! We did not go on a market day, but maybe next time.
