    There is no meeting point. The self-guided audio tour starts in the entrance of the Acropolis Museum (15 Dionysiou Areopagitou Street). How to get there: The easiest way to get there is from the Acropolis metro station (Red Line). You will take the exit towards Makrigianni street and walk up the road until you reach Dionysiou Areopagitou, the pedestrianized street that runs below the Acropolis hill. You’ll turn left and walk about 150 meters.

  • Please not that no live guide will accompany you. No AR/VR is included.
  • Please note that for the audio tour you must have an Android or iOS Smartphone. The audio tour is not compatible with Windows Phones, iPhone 5/5C or older, iPod Touch 5th generation or older, iPad 4th generation or older, iPad Mini 1st generation
  • Make sure you have enough storage space, as the size for the app and the audio tour is 100-150 MB.
  • The audio tour can be used anytime, online or offline. Use your headphones to best enjoy it.

Excellent way to tour the museum

App works great, we’ll use again. TIP you need to download the entire tour beforehand! We would have been lost without the information about all the antiquities along the way. Just follow directions, which can be a little confusing at times

Okay but cannot compare with a live guide

I needed a guide in a pinch because when I arrived at the museum there was so much to look at and I wanted some direction. It took about 10 minutes to get it all set up. I did need to contact the tour company to get my “activation” link and they responded immediately via chat - which I appreciated. Still, the tour itself was just okay for me. Maybe because what I really wanted was a live guide.
