We took the Athens Walking Tours 5 hour city tour with Margarite as our Guide. She was such a great Guide - we really enjoyed our time with her. This tour is perfect for an overview of the city. Good value, well-coordinated and executed. I highly recommend this company and Margarite!

We took the walking tour of The Acropolis and the new museum. Our guide was Olesya. She was so fun and so knowledgeable about Greek history and culture. I wish we could take her with us on our cruise as our guide for all our excursions. She was amazing.

Phenomenal Ancient Masterpieces

Being able to see such phenomenal ancient structures was a great achievement. It is hard to believe how these wonders were thoughtfully designed and constructed. Our guide was amazing in explaining all of this to us in a very interesting presentation. The day was perfect as it was warm but not unbearable and our guide made sure to find shady spots to stand.

Our guide, Hermes, was very knowledgeable about everything we saw and he discussed things in an entertaining way. We didn’t think the walking was too strenuous or excessive, but wear good walking shoes and cool clothing. It gets hot up on the hill. Major thanks to Hermes for our restaurant recommendation in the Plaka area. It was the dining highlight of our entire trip.

We went on the 6 hour Acropolis/Museum tour. Our tour guide Ermis was very knowledgeable and passionate about everything we saw. Don’t be intimidated by the height. He stopped several times to tell us about the sites on the way up. The tour is the to go instead of wandering around wondering what you are look at. October is a great time to go.

Walking tour of Athens and pickup point comments

Guide Giota from walking tours was great. Unfortunately we nearly missed the tour because of the poor information on the meeting place. It said Synatagma square but it was really on the first basement floor of the nearby subway. A helpful guide told me this might be where it was otherwise we would have missed it. You need to improve your explanations for meeting points. We had the same problem the next day when we asked for a hotel pickup. It said 0830 hrs leaving. The pickup driver came at 0730 hrs. He told us the real leaving point was the A media hotel a short 10 minute walk away. Again, the tour meeting point should say ‘make your way to the Amelia hotel for the leaving time or get a hotel pickup. Also, on your website I could not read the hotel meeting drop down list as the top half of all sites was missing. PS: we will book directly with walking tours in the future.

Oh my this was a Great way to see the Acropolis. Lots and lots of walking and step climbing but there aren't any escalators or elevators. You have to see the Acropolis when in Athens or Greece! It's a Must do! Our guide was excellent. She knew her stuff and was very passionate about the subject. We also got head of the line privilege. This in itself was worth it. The Museum was fantastic. Our guide was superb here too. The whole experience couldn't have been better.

Totally worth it. Guide was very patient and engaging. All places were totally worth the visit. It’s a walking tour and check the weather and if it’s hot - probably a good idea to get a tour that has ride from place to place.

We are Greeks from Australia. But decided to do this walking Tour and Skip the line for acropolis and museum. Our guide named Maria. Was outstanding. The knowledge of History was exceptional and she was passionate about Athens and its monuments. We learned so much that we didn't Know. We had been to the Acropolis before. But this was fantastic. Maria brought to life the history of the area. We were out most of the day. But had alot of stops under shady trees to escape the sun.

Now I like Athens even more because of this tour!
