Overview

Barcelona is believed be the European capital of Argentinian tango. So, when you visit Barcelona, treat yourself to a rooftop lesson with a professional Argentinian tango dancer and learn the moves from the best. As you dance into the evening, you’ll see the sun set over the Gothic Quarter, and then finish up with drinks. No experience is needed.

What To Expect

Make your way to the rooftop space, located in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. Grab a glass of wine, beer, or sangria and get to know your tango instructor and fellow dancers.

When everyone is ready, it’s time to dance. Don’t worry if you’ve never done tango before, or if you think you have two left feet, your teacher guides you through all the steps and movements and provides insights into the culture of tango.

By the end of the experience, you will have learned an entire routine, which you and your partner dance while the sun sets over Barcelona.

So. Much. Fun!! This is a sensational dance class. George, our teacher, was fun and gave brilliant instructions. We met fellow travellers of all ages and shared a drink and stories. George and Paula were warm and wonderful. THE BEST time!

This tango lesson is a hidden gem in this beautiful city that you should look into if you want a unique experience. Paula is a wonderful human being and instructor. She simplified the dance steps of tango into a routine that we left practicing for hours. No matter your dancing experience, you will walk away from this loving tango!! Wow to from start to finish!!!! The location was in such a qauint, barcelona gothic style apartment building & getting there was easy, fun and an amazing experience in itself!! My partner and I came from Australia, the hosts were welcoming and so fun, both were such characters. You're greeted with a fun smile and ease at the door, nothing seemed to hard or difficult. They offered a beverage and place to put your things, then to build team ship they introduced all guests, opening conversation up at ease. Drinks seemed bottomless and as for the lessons themselves so much fun, leaders and followers for the dance are split in the most fun way (don't want to ruin the surprise) and joined back together to practice what each has learned together to make the tango come alive!!! The view from the rooftop was so cool a real look through the eyes of true barcelonians. They take their time, make it all fun and at the end take photos or a video or both of you and your partner. This is a memory that will last forever and the start of a dance between my partner and myself that had come alive looking forward to our next lesson!!! All in all 5 stars get down here, book in before its too late you won't regret it!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Paula was fabulous. So welcoming and friendly. Being the eldest couple in the group we were worried we might feel out of place but Paula was great at getting everyone involved and putting us all at ease. Everyone’s dancing abilities were different but even for us with no dance experience Paula explained the moves simply and in a fun way. By the end of the session we had all mastered a great dance. We would definitely recommend it.

The rude welcome i got because of difficultly finding the location. Yes i was late but not to allow me in was absurd. To say that other students would not like that is silly. You.can’t read other peoples mind. You should return my money or offer another dsy for free. I have blog on travel and will give a terrible review. John

We were very polite with you, even you were drunk and literally told us: “let me in to drink and meet a lady” You didn’t contacted us telling us you were going to arrive late, so we could have been able to guide you or offer you to come in the late session. We open our home to enjoy dancing in a healthy and safe environment, to share with travelers a local lifestyle and a “slow-tourism” where travelers and locals can exchange honest experiences. I highly recommend this tango class! I will be referring it to anyone who travels to Barcelona! My boyfriend and I took this class, and met wonderful people from various places. The instructor is very thorough, and makes sure you feel comfortable with the dance moves. It is a very fun ambiance, with great Sangria! If you have the opportunity I wouldn’t miss this class!

How many languages can I say excellent? Jorge and Paula were a delight. The class was easy to follow. Such a great way to break up the monotony sightseeing. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the city. But also to those who may be looking for a fun date idea.
