What To Expect

Your tour starts in central Barcelona where you'll meet your private guide and set off on a culinary adventure that introduces you to popular goodies and Spanish flavors through either six or 10 tastings of food and drink (depending on the option selected).

Outstanding Tapas & More Tour

Liliia was outstanding. Her knowledge of everything local was very impressive. We enjoyed all of our tapas and she was very knowledgeable about all of our tapas options. We went to an olive oil store and were able to taste several varieties of olive oil and even bought a few bottles as they were so good. Finally, we had churros and they were excellent as well. Liliia provided us with outstanding recommendations around the city and in Mallorca’s as well… a true gem of a host!!!

The tour guide was great. As I was the only person on the tour I felt that limited the places we could go and the experience we could have at the places we visited. For what I paid for this experience I would not recommend this to others. It might have been a different experience had there been more people on the tour.

My guide was excellent. She had a wealth of knowledge about Barcelona and was also interested in meeting my needs. I had a very enjoyable afternoon. I would suggest that the order of the excursion be reversed so that I would be offered the tapas (when I was hungry) first and the churros last (they came first). Also, I had a panic at the meeting point as I was looking for a building that didn't exist. Vague directions.

Our guide Kristina was amazing!! So fun to talk with about all the local foods, bodegas that locals love and the must-have drinks and eats. She lived recently near one of the areas we went to so she really knew where to go! We tried all kinds of foods and even a few drinks we would never have on our own like Vermouth- it was fabulous! She was a joy to talk to and she seamlessly walked us between spots, found us a prime seat and consulted with us before ordering our next treats. We just loved every minute of it and cannot recommend this tour (and Kristina!) enough! ** her name is spelled a little differently but I don’t know exactly how

This tour was extremely disappointing. The tour guide was late. We paid for 10 tastings and we received 4. The guide did not give historical information. I do not believe our guide was prepared for this tour.

We booked a tasting with Alan on New Years Eve. We really enjoyed Alan's tutelage throughout our culinary pilgrimage in Barcelona. We relished combinations of food we would never have had the courage to try by ourselves and dove head first into the foundations of local dishes. We are also both very fascinated by history and Alan not only was exceptionally knowledgeable but took the time to discuss and show us some intriguing sites laden with historical significance. 12/10, A+, perfecto.

Lusi was an amazing tour guide. Even though it was Christmas Day and most places were closed, she went out of her way to ensure a wonderful experience. The food tasting was great and the tour was excellent, upbeat, fun and informative. We would come back just to take another tour with her!

A fantastic tour. Great good and drink. But the best was Lusi’s exuberance and love of the city. She showed us great places to return to later in our time here. She also gave great recommendations for dinner and drinking. We visited 3 of the 4 places and they were all amazing. Only didn’t make the 4th because of time.

A great way to start your trip! The guide (Thomas) knew Barcelona’s architecture and history very well. He just didn’t show us unique connections with any local chiefs or restaurants as I would have expected in a private food tour. It may have been the time we started at 5pm?
