Our guide Scott has a deep knowledge of Hawai's volcanos, and as for his personality, he is kind and thoughtful. This tour is go-around-the-island tour by car for about 200 miles or 320 km. You'll find a big variety of landscape and climate in the Big Island. Unless we joined this tour, we never find that a part of this island is so much tropical. If your mother tongue is not English, you'd better ask him to speak slowly when he explains to you about the volcanos. He speaks very fast, just as his enthusiasm flows !

This was our best tour on the big island. Scott had an amazing amount of knowledge and he loves to share that wealth as he drove us around and showed us the sights. Our most important goal was the volcanoes on the island and he didn't disappoint. It was fascinating learning about the volcanoes and the different climates on the island. Well worth with trip!

This was one of the best tours my wife and I have taken in the Hawaiin Islands. There was a lot of time in the van , I'd say almost 80% but it was worth it. Our driver/tour guide was a wealth of knowledge so we finished well informed.

Amazing semi-private tour!! This was so much better than a large group excursion. I highly recommend Scott and his Volcano Van for touring the Big Island and seeing so many different sites in just one day. His love for all things volcano related shines through. We loved seeing Volcano National Park, walking through a lava tube, dipping our toes into the warm water at the Black Sand beach, exploring the waterfalls, and of course buying local treats from a roadside vendor AND the famous bakery too. This was a highlight of our time in Hawaii!
